I don't know about you guys, but I was GUTTED. Yes I am aware he gets a lot of hate around here, but I was so sure it was finally his time to pass stage 1.
The navi showed him in a bit of a different light this time, and everyone that talked to him said he was extremely calm that day.
After watching ANW, I knew the first stage was easy and had a lenient time limit which has been a huge problem for Yamada. Then I saw that he was FINALLY updating his warped wall.
It seemed like the stars were all aligned for him to pass.
I also took notice to his reaction to the wall. It was way different than what he's shown before. He was not faking an injury this time, or trying to get people to pity him. He was prepared to take down the wall and pissed off that he couldn't get it.
What does everyone else think?

I was actually supporting him getting to 2nd stage. But when I say him p**** footing it on the wall, my heart sank

I don't know what's with that warped wall?! Yamada is strong and big enough to pass it...I couldn't believe it killed him again (which time was it?). I was very sorry for him...

I was honestly surprised that he didn't make it, especially seeing how he began the Stage so strongly, no problems relating either to new or old obstacles... it was sad to see his old bugbears still keeping him down though... I really want to believe he still has it in him to see Stage 2... I guess only time will tell, huh? :/

I really thought Yamada would clear this time :-( I hope we do get a Sasuke 28 and that he finally at least clears the first stage. Really, I'd like to see him in the third stage. So much of his training is upper body, I think he would do well in the third stage.

I've not been a fan of Yamada's at all over the years, but with all he's been through on that course, it's hard not to pull for the guy. I was rooting for him to finally clear and was gutted when he didn't make it. The warped wall is definitely in his head and I'm all but convinced that he'll never beat it. Sad.

The hard was was with ~20 clears so far, he probably thought this is the best shot hes ever gonna get.

I was heartbroken too. I thought he would get it, but when I saw him taking so much time before attacking the wall I had a feeling it might get in his head. Hopefully one day he'll clear the first stage again.

He is forever in the Warped Walls Pocket and that is the sad fact!

I really feel bad for him, cause I wanted to see him pass too. Hopefully there will be a Sasuke 28 so he can attempt it again.

Oh, Yamada...that really saddened me. I really thought it was his time to finally shine again. And when I saw him sprint away in anger off the Wall, I felt like seriously sobbing.

I wasn't surprised he failed the wall simply because as sooooooooon as I saw him not catch the ledge the first time you literally saw him give up.. it was so obvious.. he just gave up after missing the first pass. He really is too mentally fragile. I do give him credit though. he didn't do the theatrics and buckled down and did his best this time. He was genuinely pissed he couldn't get past the mental barrier. It was interesting though watching navi and him continually grabbing the lower bar first then grabbing the high one.. even seeing his mental thought-pattern where he knew he didn't do it right. He'll be back though if there is a 28 simply because it's something new he might have a chance at.

I love Yamada, and I was probably even pulling for him the most of the three all-stars. However, with Sasuke what is is nowadays, you gotta be able to get up that wall. You just do. And when you've had so much practice on it, it's almost expected of you. I really hope he returns in 28, and I would LOVE to see him clear stage 1 more than anybody. But if you can't get up that wall, idk...

I've been a Yamada fan for as long as I've followed Sasuke. And I honestly thought he was going to make it, he was THIS close on a few of the passes on the wall. If he had gotten over it on his first or second, I think we would've seen him in stage 2.

He had the chance to clear but he needs to clear the wall quickly. His time is weak.

I actually thought he would fail the Escargot. Once he passed the Jumping Spider though I thought he would have a good shot, since the time limit was high. Especially after the long break he took before going up the wall, I really thought he would get over it. Disappointing

While it was really sad to see him hopelessly fail the wall, I was actually kind of pleased to see him show some real frustration as he slammed the obstacle with his hands. We never really see this kind of emotion from Yamada during a run, and it showed that he was self-aware of his shortcomings against the Warped Wall. Provided he doesn't retire between the next SASUKE, I think he's really going to shape himself up so he can clear. I don't know why but before it seemed like he was trying to stir up drama, but this time I really felt his anger and frustration.
