Oh my gosh, 27 clears? It was awesome to see such variety, but wow only Sasuke 2 and 4 had more.

27 clears for SASUKE 27. The fourth time since 11, 14 and 16 (I think).

It was crazy. I laughed when I saw them with their arms crossed in front of stage 2.
I was like "what... XD".
I was super happy for Asa and a few others that never got the chance.

Yes, Wakky was quite a shock. I know he's a pretty good athlete, but he never did so great on the course before and eventually seemed to take it as a joke.

It couldn't have gone any perfect -- 27 clears for the 27th tournament, you can't plan that.

27 clears was crazy! On a side note, I'm devastated at kanno.

Also, what did everyone think about them spreading out the notable competitors' starting position numbers this time around? Personally I loved it, though it would've been nicer if they kept it more in a logical order. For example, they jumped from #6 clearing to #65 clearing without any other people doing so in between them. It seemed almost G4-edited in that sense.
Also, there were a number of people who cleared that I have no clue who they (mostly the ones they digested). I was glad to see more variety in Stage 2 and that certainly made that stage especially different this time around. In fact, if there weren't a few major slip-ups from several other competitors, I think it could've come very close to the record for most Stage 1 clears.

I think if you look at the numbering, this is exactly what TBS wanted to happen with 22. High clear rate. Clears spread out through the day.

I think if you look at the numbering, this is exactly what TBS wanted to happen with 22. High clear rate. Clears spread out through the day. Plus it really keeps the momentum going throughout much of the day instead of having the majority of the clears towards the very end. Besides, I like it when different numbers clear. It gives a much more unique sense to tournaments with unusual numbers clearing (for example, Koji Yamada taking #1 all the way to Stage 3 in Sasuke 12). ;D BTW, many of the lower numbers that cleared did so for either their first or second time, and those that have cleared in the past did so in the first 4 tournaments. So that gave 27 even more of a unique feeling.

I was almost kinda hoping a woman would pass this time. Damn that HPA!!! It was pretty cool to see Satomi Kadoi's run and also seeing Hiroyo Shimada from Matsuri giving it another go.
