I think we are still speechless and will be for a long time. He must have been gutted...

That's easily gotta be one of the biggest shocks in recent Sasuke history. Man I feel so bad for him, especially after all of the extra training he did regarding his gym and preparing so much for the UCH.

My reaction was pretty much this to a tee: I can't add anything more. That gif sums up my reaction as well. I was totally numb when David ran the first stage. Didn't care about him beating the stage one time record. I was still in shock that Lee did that. That's easily gotta be one of the biggest shocks in recent Sasuke history. Man I feel so bad for him, especially after all of the extra training he did regarding his gym and preparing so much for the UCH. In recent history? As a fan of Sasuke, having seen every tournament (except this one) multiple times, I'd say it is one of the most shocking moments period.

I was pondering over all of the shocking fails that we've seen since Shin-Sasuke began.

It didn't shock me at all TBH. They didn't even touch on him in Navi. His intro was super short. I figured he wouldn't do well, though I wasn't expecting first obstacle fail. I guessed he'd lose on stage 1.
Sucks though.

(Dis)honorable mention goes to Kenji 'Kong' Takahashi. Second straight tournament he gets the FF on, not to mention a low number like 15 (at least Kanno cleared with #1) even after just 3 tournaments prior being a Finalist along with the Spin Bridge fail.

I just am speechless. I think he just had a mental lapse.

A shock indeed... but it happens to the best of us. He took it really well, and that show character. It's a shame, because he could have gone really far... I'm sure he'll do it next time

Kongu and Lee's failures were the most shocking for sure. It's sad to see Kenji relapsing into a string of first stage failures. The guy is hella strong and easy to like so it stinks to see him digested and falling early.
Shingo's failure was also shocking for me. I know we're all looking for that unique first stage fail from him (and he didn't disappoint there) but he was moving along the course real well that I thought he had it wrapped up. I think every comedian that ran the course wish they had Shingo's fail.

Kenji really is the most upsetting, I wanted to see him get back to stage 3 at least, he's my favourite.

If you really think about it, the rope is pretty damn low. However, Lee was one of the last people I saw that happening to.

That rope is only low if you grab low. Alot of guys didn't pop off the last step and reach high and that's what caused them to skim the water.

Long time lurker, first time poster. IMO the most saddening one was the Malaysia Winner. Lee didn't really care TOO much, and Yamada failing the Warped Wall is nothing new (though the look on Nagano's face was interesting - more frustration than resignation), but this was probably a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Malaysia Winner.

this was probably a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Malaysia Winner. That's the depth of Sasuke for you.

Yea that was ridiculous. Lee's seemed to be the type of guy who has gotten pretty lucky in recent tournaments so I guess his luck finally ran out haha. But seriously, I was not expecting that and it's a shame that's where he failed because his skill level is so much better than that.
