That's fantastic.. where are you getting this from? I'd love to know. Assumptions... you know. They love money, so they don't just do these things to piss you off, they have a reason behind them, and that reason is an S with a line going through it. Assumptions don't belong in a rating discussion. Projecting your feelings into a number doesn't randomly change it. Unless you have 30k a month to pay for Nielsen ratings you can't possibly substantiate that others are as foreign hating as you are... especially minute by minute. Last time I checked.. NW was a ratings winner for G4 well before ANW and that was comprised of a predominately foreign cast..

You really think they would just cut all Japanese competitors for NO reason? Of course not. There's a reason behind it. I can only think of one possible conclusion.
What other conclusion would there be?

What other conclusion would there be? Your conclusion is inaccurately predicting that somehow people don't want to see it. My conclusion is one that people have been lampooning me for the past year but now are starting to see the light. Comcast wants their OWN show in USA soil that will survive a Sasuke elimination in Japan. If they are not even shown (meaning anyone outside of ANW) they don't need to imagine something away that wasn't there. The whole point is for a Sasuke USA set up. That's how they fashioned this "trials" anyway. It's meant to be a stand alone product produced entirely in the USA that will exist long after Sasuke is canceled in Japan. That's why you can always say there will be an ANW since it's not even needed to be connected to Sasuke anymore.

The Finals will air right after America's Got Talent, so there might be some interest for those viewers to stay on NBC.

It's a repeat of AGT, and I just want to say the guide on my TV doesn't have G4 giving a hour lead into ANW. From 8-9 is AOTS. Just wondering if anyone sees anything different.

I put a list of what's on according to the G4 site on the ANW thread and yes it's an AOTS special for Ninja Warrior that's at 8pm. That will go head to head with the repeat of AGT. AGT still though is a good lead in because they have been almost top of the ratings even as a repeat on Mondays.. though not the past couple of weeks with the premieres of both Hells Kitchen and Bachelor Pad.. both shows I wouldn't be paid to watch.. LOL

Thanks Arsenette, I wasn't aware that the AOTS at 8 was the special. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Thanks Arsenette, I wasn't aware that the AOTS at 8 was the special. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Not a problem. Personally I hope something on NBC has a preview or something.. because it's going to be a bit confusing for first time watchers and can ultimately decide if people who have never seen the series actually continue watching. We'll see though. As for the special.. unsure how they are going to handle it. In the past the AOTS specials were kinda.. uhm.. well.. lame? Everything from going to sex shops and getting kicked out of the sumo hall.. maybe they'll show the Shinto Shrine visit? Unsure how it's going to go. Either way I hope they shore more of the Japan part than rehash the 8 hours that will precede it (there will be an ANW marathon preceding the AOTS special).

I have a very small feeling that there might be a preview on Today, but those chances are very slim, like micro-sized slim.

Rofl at the rose colored glasses many of the posters here have. Your preferences are such a ridiculously minute niche compared to the mass scale of leisurely viewers flipping through network TV whose interest might be sparked.
All I can say is thank god the fundamentalists here will never have more extensive power in controlling the formatting of Sasuke on TV in America.

If you have an issue take it somewhere else. There isn't a single thing in this thread to make you even come to make a discriminatory comment as that.

As an avid Hell's Kitchen viewer, I can tell you that the premiere was many weeks ago . However, they did do a extra-long 2 hour show from 7-9 Central with an extra dramatic twist going into the 8-9 hour. Every network was going big tonight.

Here's a plus for all the ANW fans: West coast only. Did you read the tweets? Not all are positive and a lot are asking questions like wtf is this thing? ;D Still though I'm curious if they will beat Wipeout's 6 million. That's the benchmark for me since Wipeout does it every single week.

It would be awesome if it did though!

Hell, even Tyra Banks was like, "This isn't my thing but I'm hooked!"

Given it's network there should be a good breakdown in numbers and where the demographics split throughout the night. I feel like I'm back in college Will be very interesting to see how this plays out overall.
