That.. And when we made this topic we only knew how he was at the G4 forums around that time.

Sometimes it is easy to forget that you haven't met the person you are trashing and that the anonymity of the internet makes it easy to do so. In the end we are all people with lives, friends and family and that this is one way of making a connection with others we wouldn't normally meet...it is only as good as we make it...people who met each other at the G4 event now have a different (hopefully good) perspective of people from the board...the internet doesn't allow for that kind of interaction so maybe giving people the benefit of the doubt is a good thing...IMHO Yes. The Cali event gave me that insight.

unfortunately I have been a target as well (not here) and I understand what it feels like...my friends could not believe what was said about me because they really know me and they work with me on a daily basis...and before you disrespect someones family members you should walk a mile in their shoes first...no one is perfect by any means...I hope we can all appreciate that there is more to a person on this board than what is perceived from a post...it is a hard hurdle to get over though, since non-verbal communcation normally greatly outweighs speaking and certainly the non-verbal aspect cannot be presented here in any form. That being said I think there are a lot of intelligent people on this board and the apologies are a sign of that I think...

Well, like I said, the Log Grip traing is just an isometric exercise. It builds my strength in that position. Also, the real thing is a little smaller and has holds on it, so I should be fine. Beyond that video, I haven't really worked on it. It doesn't seem like that much of a threat as long as you hold on tight with your arms AND legs.
As for the Final/Gliding/Whatever Ring, I'd love a replica, but it seems so easy (especially after seeing 22) that I'm not going to build one. So, this is all I've done for this obstacle as well. The grip is different, yes, but my way of doing it is much harder. My fingers are on a ledge and if I swing back too hard, I'll slip off (I've done so many times...).
Just as training on something stationary isn't the same as training on something that is moving, training PERIOD is better than doing nothing. Honestly, I was under the impression that the slope of the track was so small, any massive swing (like in 22) would make the ring slip back up the track. So, I held myself in a sort of Pipe Slider swing fashion and jumped as far as possible - about 7 or so feet.
That's all it is. I'd love a replica, but unless I come into the material to make one somehow, I'm not going for it.
Besides, I gots me some Spider Walk walls to make.

Probably shouldn't criticise your Log Grip video, I hang onto my Punching Bag like the Log Grip actually XD
Hearing it like that it actually sounds very valid for training at all, not neccicarily for the ring.
Guess I can't criticise this either, I mean I posted my vid from last year on the last page, then 22 came along and completely blew that out of the water.
Let me guess about the Spider Walk, it has to do with the Ninjafest 4 Event isn't it?

Definitely. I'm very disappointed in my performance. Way too slow and I fell from between the walls.
