Well they had a stand off with TBS over the price of 25.. I guess they either jacked it up again for 26 and/or they didn't feel it was justified due to ratings from 25's broadcast in Taiwan? We can only speculate why they didn't buy it.
By the way, Gold Sun TV has done very little to promote SASUKE in Taiwan since JET TV changed their programming. They aired SASUKE 24 ONCE...maybe twice like a year later and SASUKE 25 ONCE. They had little advertising and it was left up to Li to promote SASUKE as best he could. JEt TV showed a differnet SASUKE and sometimes Viking or PRo Sportsman episodes every weekend and a lot of people made it a weekly ritual of tuning in and watching...same goes for Banzuke episodes during the week. Once JET tV decided to go a different route with their programming, that was it. Gold SUn needed to promote and show SASUKE etc. as much as JET tV used to and that just didn't happen. Plus, the show was so long packed with infocommercials and repeats of runs that people lost interest. They did a pi$$ poor job tbh.
That really is a shame. I remember hearing about that on different message boards on the vast difference between the stations. Taiwan used to be basically the place to get the full broadcast whenever someone couldn't find the original TBS airing.. now it's barely visible so it makes sense that with no publicity or repeats that Gold Sun wouldn't even buy 26. At first I was upset that TBS was charging too much for them.. then when Gold Sun finally bought 25 I figured they would do a better job.. seems they did worse than before Sucks JET changed their entire programming lineup.. because seriously.. they still have the original episodes with them. I don't think Gold Sun has the license to the 1-23.
