I'm putting this here because in the long run it may or may not contain information relevant to SASUKE 27.
Anyway, the original fuzzy date for the start of English version of the fan club (the ninjafan one) was originally sometime in July. They've now pushed it back to September which is more in line with what the Japanese fan club site (sasukefan) is sort of advertising. They've also reimbursed people who have already paid for memberships which is a bit strange.

Virtual 9 is the fan club/facebook page designated arm of Monster 9. Since M9 is a small I assume that they have other responsibilities within the company.

They had something planned with the All-Stars but I believe it must have been cancelled or their plans got changed somehow. I guess they don't want people to wait around.
It's not a one-time fee. It's annual. If they go by when people signed up and get them to renew in the future, anyone who signed up early would have gotten nothing for their money for roughly two months. If we look at it that way, they are doing the subscribers a favor.

It's been my contention from the start. Glad they did it.

This is just speculation on my part though. We'll just have to wait until September to see what they are actually going to do.

... it was kind of a dumb idea... sort of happy actually. Maybe V9 realized it didn't really make any sense.

Reaching out to fans and trying to create interest in the show that was outside of TBS and not reliant on TV is dumb how?

Reaching out to fans and trying to create interest in the show that was outside of TBS and not reliant on TV is dumb how? On paper it seems nice, but It did a horrible job explaining wtf we were paying for. Were the All Stars going to go to every person that signed up? What was the "1" thing we were buying. It's nice, but there are better ways to generate interest in the show outside of TBS and TV. Smarter ways.

Than it's dumb. So I will pay money so they "might" show up.... Maybe they should've made it an auction instead.

Though that would be really awesome. Imagine if they went door to door and rang everyone's doorbells who signed up. JUST to prove people wrong ^_^ I wouldn't mind.

There is nothing wrong with having a fan club. Actually, it's something that's been missing for awhile. Done correctly, it could be a great thing.
The big problem is that the information on the website is absolutely atrocious. It is seriously the most horribly put together website I have ever seen. Based on the way the information is written, the member "benefits" are nothing more than empty suggestions at this point.
Even worse, for awhile there, I was even questioning the fan club's legitimacy. There was nothing (like a message from Higuchi or a welcome video from the All Stars) that even suggested it was a M9 creation. I had to be shown that the little V9 at the bottom of the screen was indeed a branch of M9. It truthfully looked like a web page created in a high school computer class.
And then they began the fan club even though they didn't have a single thing in place... Disgraceful.

OK then, what do people actually want from the fan club?

OK then, what do people actually want from the fan club? They want all of the all-stars to come up to their house and ring their doorbell. Then go out and have tea together.

There were videos on Nagano's and Yamada's fanpages at least on Facebook thanking people for joining.

Yes, lol "thanking" us for "joining" all we really had to do to see the videos was find the pages... so really they were for free. And some of them weren't even about the fan club. Yamada just said he will clear the first stage! Talk about empty promises!!
