Arsenette... that post was complete BS. It spins hate into G4, half of which isn't at all warranted.... You're kind of like the Fox News of Sasuke... I'd get into it, but we already have. If you deleted all of the BS that was in that blog, and just left it the 10%, I would've agreed with you. But you decided to add other crap that isn't as bad as you make it out to be.... Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatever. And I agree with Ube, they never aired it in August recently. Sasuke will air near the same time it always airs, so I don't mind it at all, and so what if it airs in America first... means nothing to Japanese viewers. The only part throughout the entire post that you had a good point with was the fact that G4 cuts Americans from the Ninja Warrior broadcast. ...now Comcast to completely cut out any mention of SASUKE or any other competitors. To be fair, they do show them, just not at the same time as the americans. (Which DOES confuse a lot of people) edit: Also yeah, that did seem a little racist, even if you didn't mean it that way.

Some of you just need to cut your losses and move to Japan, where you could finally be happy.

It's so typical that these young American viewers moan and groan when you say something negative If you're going to stereotype, at least say correct stereotypes... that's every human... it's called disagreement... I'm pretty sure Taiwanese people do that. I'm not Taiwanese so you've just stereotyped and assumed that someone who lives in another country must be from that country. Not that I really care tbh.

Losing first air rights to a foreign country is a big effing deal. Ya'll may not be schooled in the industry but it's a friggin' big deal. Feel free to love G4 for it but I agree with lars with the fact that it's all M9's fault for this happening in the first place. Money is involved, it's dying in Japan so all of this makes sense. I have a right to be friggin' unhappy. To give power to the worst rated cable company is just appalling. The only thing going for G4 is that it's tied to Comcast which has huge pockets. Anyway, the facts don't change it's the interpretation of what will happen in the future is changes. I for one am not happy and see this coming like an oncoming train. Do I want it to happen? EFF no.. but I'd be stupid to ignore it.

Ah yes, however, that is a stereotype that makes sense though! Most people that live in a country originate from that country. Oddly enough, I'd LOOOOVE to move to Taiwan.... but that's for another thread...

The thing is JP, I don't think you don't understand what this means for SASUKE. The fact that the American Market is now the #1 priority basically means they are in a position where they could and may possibly can the show in Japan, and bring it over here. If that scenario played out, we would not have SASUKE anymore, we'd have Comcast calling the shots with mixed to poor results. I find this ironic that i read this while im eating lunch in the comcast center (god they have good food). I wouldn't be so harsh on Comcast. They're going to build a sports network to compete with ESPN, and I think SASUKE could be a part of it. Now, whether or not Comcast will destroy Sasuke, i think that's in question. But I have faith in Comcast. anyways, I agree with JP on this one, Sasuke has generally aired in September and March, which, from what i can pick up, seem to be before the season airs, and during their spring break. The American viewers aren't necessarily put first, but its more of they have the time sooner, so why not show it. Its not like Ninja Warrior is being shown in august anyway, ANW is. I will be very concerned when Ninja Warrior airs before SASUKE.

We don't want some new version or hybrid show that doesn't reflect the true nature of SASUKE...heck even mentions the name SASUKE. We want SASUKE to live on and we want TBS and M9 to get their heads out of their ar$es and start thinking about the state of SASUKE and not making money be selling the show off and tarnishing SASUKE in the process. If you can't understand this, then perhaps you should ask yourself whether you are a true SASUKE fan or not?

Just because someone is trying to find a bit of positives out of G4/(A)NW/Comcast even, doesn't mean they aren't a true fan. If anything, it shows a remarkable amount of patience on their part.

Huh. So either you are against Comcast and G4, or you aren't a true Sasuke fan. It's not possible to be a Sasuke fan who doesn't think G4 is teh debil and turns everything it touches to crap?
I love Sasuke. I'm a big fan of the show. Anyone who stays up late every Sasuke airing to watch the stream (ends around 6 AM on Sunday for me) has the right to call themselves a fan. Is that taken away just because I think Ninja Warrior is enjoyable, just not in the same way as Sasuke?

Lars, do you just enjoy flaming? Because it really seems like it. While im not an "Old School" Sasuke fan (mainly due to the fact that is wasn't even in the United states till 2007 and I didnt watch G4 until 2009), doesn't mean in anyway im not a true fan. Just because I think that IF, and it's a big if, Comcast decides to do a full on american version of the show i dont think it'll be bad, infact i think it might even turn out good. (Comcast is a smart company.) That doesn't mean I think it'll be as good or better than Sasuke. I can think a spin off is good, but the original is better. Unlike you, I'm not stuck in the past. I realize how Sasuke is progressing. It's becoming more worldly. The West is starting to become equals, and they might even start going farther than the japanese. This isn't, and never was frankly, a Japanese + a few friends tournament anymore. You have to deal with it and move on from the past, no matter how good the past was. s**t changed Lars, deal with it.

We'll just agree to disagree then. I'm not going to change how I feel because a few teenagers who always think they are right tell me to. A select few of us know the real situation with SASUKE and you can have whatever opinion you want about it. I think arsenette highlighted the concerns in her blog and so I really don't have much to add to it. Don't like it? C'est la vie.

I know that the show may be on it's deathbed but it doesn't hurt to act optimistic during these bleak times.

The topic says "SASUKE on TBS Information". I'm not getting any new information about sasuke on tbs on this thread anymore. Let's end this. Nothing annoys me more than checking a news or semi-news thread with a lot of new posts when it's just forum bickering.

Agreed. It's just annoying that Comcast information now creeps up on the thread because it's now a priority. Fact of the matter is we know this show on TBS won't even air for a couple months thanks to their selling of that damn first air rights. /sigh I'll be in my corner now fuming.

I wouldn't bother with it Blind. Lars has been talking about Sasuke's doomsday since Sasuke 24, and look, we already got 3 more tournaments than he expected. Will I be sad if Sasuke ends? Yeah. The show has lasted well over a decade, and the ratings have been low for a long time. I don't think anyone expected it to last this long. However, crying about it isn't gonna help or change anything. I've been training for years to be on the course. If someone like me can part with Sasuke, I think anyone can. Just enjoy every tournament we get from now on, and stop harping every tournament like it'll be the last.
