The gist: Currently there is none. Sorry.
In a bit more detail:
The schedule for August is out in print form - TBS has two other events going on that will be tying up their schedule. One is the FIVB World Grand Prix which runs throughout August. This is the women's volleyball world championships. Women's volleyball is pretty popular in Japan (much more so than men's volleyball) so it gets a lot of coverage.
The other is the IAFF World Championships in Athletics (i.e. track and field) which goes for just over week starting in late August and going into the beginning of September.
There are no gaps or unknown programming in the TBS schedule for the entire month (sometimes early schedules have "TBA" slots).
This goes with what I stated elsewhere that the earliest a SASUKE could be broadcast would be in September.

I'm hearing very late September/October as well but no definites either Thanks for checking the schedule though. I knew it was going to be sometime after NBC's broadcast since they have first rights again didn't realize how late it was going to be airing in Japan... I despise this new pattern they are in now..

Nooooooo! I'll be away in late September/October, home for the first full week of October, then gone again for another week. I don't want to take the chance of missing it. Bummer.

I understand that TBS has plenty of other big things to cover in the upcoming month or 2, but this is getting a bit ridiculous if you ask me. IIRC it's been said that the earlier competitions were aired only like a week after taping, and even up until 23 or 24 I'm pretty sure that the time between tapings and airings was only 2-3 weeks (though I'm just going off of what the forum calendar says ). However, the past few tourneys have had dramatically longer spans between the 2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I remember 25 aired a little over a month after taping, 26 almost 2 months, and apparently 27 will be more than 2 months. I honestly can't see the necessity of this amount of time if even recently they were able to broadcast competitions rather quickly only 2 years ago, especially since the production value seems relatively identical. If they truly were interested in continuing Sasuke, they should be getting it out earlier, and even if they couldn't do so in time before other events need to be aired on their network, at the least TBS and/or M9 could promote it to a decent extent. That's just my two cents though.

The one good thing about this big delay is that it allows plenty of time for TBS to advertise. Of course, there's no guarantee they will (and knowing them, they probably won't), but at least the opportunity is there.

Without getting into the whole thing of ANW and Ninja Warrior in general, people do realize that the actual airing pattern in Japan has not changed that much, right? It's only the amount of "inside" information that has changed.

It's only the amount of "inside" information that has changed. Well during my 3 years of Sasuke watching it was 2 weeks between taping and airing. Only the past year has it changed.

And how is that going to affect the viewership in Japan? Most people don't know when the tapings are to begin with.

And how is that going to affect the viewership in Japan? Most people don't know when the tapings are to begin with. It doesn't.. it's the fact that TBS doesn't even promote it with a bigger window of opportunity.. I did agree with you that we disagree with the overall outcome on how it affects Sasuke given the same information. My contention is that I abhore that Comcast has that much more control over the product now when they have done nothing to deserve it and ultimately does nothing to help Sasuke in Japan but destroy it worldwide with NW being altered because of it.

Arsenette... that post was complete BS. It spins hate into G4, half of which isn't at all warranted.... You're kind of like the Fox News of Sasuke...
I'd get into it, but we already have. If you deleted all of the BS that was in that blog, and just left it the 10%, I would've agreed with you. But you decided to add other crap that isn't as bad as you make it out to be....
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatever.
And I agree with Ube, they never aired it in August recently. Sasuke will air near the same time it always airs, so I don't mind it at all, and so what if it airs in America first... means nothing to Japanese viewers. The only part throughout the entire post that you had a good point with was the fact that G4 cuts Americans from the Ninja Warrior broadcast.

The thing is JP, I don't think you don't understand what this means for SASUKE. The fact that the American Market is now the #1 priority basically means they are in a position where they could and may possibly can the show in Japan, and bring it over here. If that scenario played out, we would not have SASUKE anymore, we'd have Comcast calling the shots with mixed to poor results.

The thing is though, TBS never had to give anything away to Comcast if it didn't want to. Comcast may not deserve it and may not do the right thing with it, but they took an opportunity that was offered to them.
If TBS wanted, they could dictate how Sasuke is shown in America and how it's packaged for the global market. Likewise, they could very easily keep G4 from airing footage ahead of Japan's broadcast. But they decided not to. They gave the control up themselves.
Even if America is now TBS's number 1 priority for Sasuke, that doesn't necessarily equate to Sasuke being completely given to Comcast.

It doesn't necessarily mean that, you're right. We're just afraid that will be the end afraid.
The possibilities are frightening.

Who the frig cares about G4? I care about the state of SASUKE and nothing else. It's so typical that these young American viewers moan and groan when you say something negative and it's so typical of G4 and now Comcast to completely cut out any mention of SASUKE or any other competitors. I blame TBS and M9 as well for selling their souls and I think that Higuchi should be embarrassed for letting this happen. Personally I think that TBS and Higuchi should sell G4 or Comcast or whoever the rights to make their own 'show'...ANW or whatever...and wash their hands clean of them for good. If they care about SASUKE and want it to continue, then the Americans can do what they want on their own and build their own course for their own competitors. SASUKE will continue without G4/ANW involvement and be better for it. If guys like Brian O (who I thought was honest in his comments) want to participate in SASUKE and not ANW etc. then that's their choice and TBS/M9 can make the decisions of who they want on the show and trials etc. If TBS and M9 are not committed to SASUKE in Japan, then the show will end and that will be that. I hope it doesn't and I hope that if it does, then we'll have a proper finale to an event we've all enjoyed for years. They owe it to the competitiors and to all SASUKE fans worldwide.

Right you are, but if G4 should try to hold onto SASUKE, then go back to the format that followed for 19-22.
