www.weather.com/weather/tenday/JAXX0085So far just perusing Tokyo (since Sasuke's course is technically considered West Tokyo since it sits closer to the Tokyo border than it is Yokohama city which is way south ) seems that Sasuke Trials on Saturday will have no precip but Sasuke has a chance for isolated thunderstorms. and.. hot..

Never fails. Try a Sasuke in July. Mother nature complains.

Yeah.. it's Sasuke 15 all over again.. though I think it will be hotter.. and given the fact that it's going to be just as humid.. oy..
I'm hoping that the veterans that did go to Sasuke 15 remember to take care and not repeat any problems from the past... and teach the younger ones how to survive a hot Sasuke.

I'll risk a 30% chance (during the day) but 60% (at night) will be a bit worrying.

Looks like Japan is possibly going to hit by a double whammy. Anyone think that typhoon will hit during taping?

If both converge at the course site, it'll get destroyed, there won't be anything left, then again, SASUKE 8's typhoon only caused rain delays and Kane's permenant retirement. But a thunderstorm too? That'll make the obstacles even slicker than in 8, it's going to be a very wet day on the date of the tournament.

Anyone think that typhoon will hit during taping? Doesn't look like it will... You beat me to the pic . Still though, a Category 3 storm is never a good thing, and I hope Japan will be ok. Edit: Here's the computer model for the storm path. Doesn't look great

By that point though it'll probably be down to a Category 2 (or even 1 depending on ocean temperatures and how long it stays in cooler waters), and furthermore from what I know about tropical cyclones they do tend to speed up to the north rather quickly. Hopefully Japan in general misses the brunt of the storm; after all, haven't they already suffered enough this year?

Yeah, first an earthquake that threatens nuclear power, and now a typhoon, ouch.

From what the reports are saying though.. seems to be a problem for Okinawa and not mainland Japan as of yet and shouldn't be a problem for Sasuke taping on Monday. That's several hundred miles away even at that stage. After that though.. it's anyone's guess but so far looks like this will not affect it in the least. I just feel bad for the competitors who live south having to fly back in that.. like Nagano..

Yeah, first an earthquake that threatens nuclear power, and now a typhoon, ouch. We do get our fair share of typhoons in this part of the world every summer. We've already had 5 or 6 go by but luckily not really affect us in Taiwan too much. I doubt very much that the typhoon will do much damage but it could mean lots of rain which wouldn't be good for SASUKE.

I'm surprised that no one reacted to the "threatening nuclear power" thing.

Although, Detective... or ES-13... or whatever you want to be called, that nuclear fart happened miles from where Sasuke is being filmed if I'm not mistaken.
