Because it is absolutely impossible for someone to change where their number is before, after and between their runs.

Also, judging by his back, Kazuma Asa probably went to Trials where he had something different written on there.

Also, no offence Arsenette, but doesn't your last post contridict what you said in the auction thread?

Also, no offence Arsenette, but doesn't your last post contridict what you said in the auction thread? How so? Are you assuming the person who tweeted wasn't with a competitor who made it far? I don't know who these people were other than they said they were cheering with someone meaning they were with a competitor. The earlier ones left after stage 1 with their competitor that failed in stage 1. 2 people tweeted past that point that they were still there so maybe they were with someone who made it far. We don't know. Besides TBS has the right to hold whoever through each of the stages. What I said in the auction thread is that if you fail stage one there is no guarantee you will even be allowed to stay simply because you flew 6000 miles out of your way to get there. In the past that has not been the case. I also figured in the same thread that some allowances might be made by either NBC/G4 or M9/TBS given the nature of the auction.. but the rules in the auction clearly stated they were not G4 people and were not going to be under the auspices of them meaning they had the right to throw you out after the fail as opposed to a G4 person who is staying to the end regardless of their individual outcome.

Ehm... if people went home at 11:30 and there was Third Stage demonstrations past midnight... I'm not holding out hope for any Stage 2 clears :/ Trust me, I hope beyond hope that I'm wrong. And also: In regards to the injured competitor, it appears that the "pole" refers to the third obstacle. The competitor may have missed that bar on his... jump? and hit the landing pad with his knee. Just tossing out ideas.

That's a possible theory. I might ask him to write it again in Japanese so we can get a clearer picture of what happened. Unsure if I'll get a response but it's worth a shot.

Do the guests of 2nd Stage failures get sent home?

Do the guests of 2nd Stage failures get sent home? Ordinarily people are sent home as soon as their representative fails, even if it's midway through the First Stage. It appears they didn't enforce it this tournament. (Then again I could be mistaken.)

If: - People leave at all times during the taping - Demos for Stage 3 happened (generally means at least one person made it...yes demos still happen judging by 19's commercial regardless of result) - It was past midnight and Stage 1 ended at 8-ish How is that deduced to another 19 tournament?

Generally it's right after your fail in stage 1 but some have been able to stay as far as the end of stage 1. Depends on what is going on, how early you were, etc. etc. So many factors. Stage 2 is usually sent home at the end of the stage (since it's much shorter normally) though again, depending on what's going on it can be right after your fail. Most people leave when they are done and unless there's reason to have more of the space cleared they would enforce it stronger. Most people leave on their own knowing they shouldn't be hanging around. It's all about keeping spoilers and whatnot from being leaked so it's also dependent on how people are acting as well. If you are caught tweeting, etc. or generally noisy you are sent home immediately after your run. It's really all relative. In the past there have been some occasions where they had almost no one at the 3rd stage and they asked the ones from the 2nd stage to stay on and cheer so they had "some" crowd. That's not usual though.

Hmmm... I can't see every competitor failing Stage 2 this tourmament. The obstacles really aren't that difficult (Unless rain was a factor). Didn't Lee report in 25 or 26 (Forget) that taping ended at 2am?

Didn't Lee report in 25 or 26 (Forget) that taping ended at 2am? Perhaps the Metal Spin gave people problems if the rain was a factor... Basically all this is just pure speculation as we have little factual information. We're just grasping at straws right now and we just need to calm down and wait for information and photos to be posted. You know Li will post some soon...

For those who haven't been to any of the SASUKE facebook pages recently, one of the selling points (don't know when they added it though) is this:
Behind the scenes making of SASUKE with All-Stars Video
Access to simulations scenes from this Fallfs 27th SASUKE and from Preliminary Competition scheduled for July 16th, 2011 in Japan will be available exclusively to Fan Club members only.
So maybe when they were talking about filming trials, it may only be for this and not the general public at large until a later date (i.e. for Navi).
The site is supposed to finally get going sometime this month.

No "big" update on the injury but there is one: I managed to get an answer from the original poster about the injury to the unknown American. Seems he fell into the swamp rather than hitting something on the way down. Ya'll following me on twitter can see the link to the kanji. I asked him to please put it that way so we can get a clear picture as to what happened. Sounds like he himself did not see the injury occur but met up with the injured American as he was sent to the hospital himself with an injury. Trying to get more out of that to see how this guy is doing. To my knowledge he's no one we know.. I think. P.S. As I posted this he answered again. He didn't get injured on the course.. he fell off his motorcycle He was in the hospital and that's how he got to see the one that got injured in Sasuke.

I didn't think I should put this in the competitors thread since it isn't confirmed. It seems that Bunpei was present at the tournament. I don't know whether or not he actually competed, but it seems that he was there. The All-Stars' Facebook pages show pictures of a "Sasuke 2011" T-Shirt with the All-Stars' autographs on it, including Bunpei's. The only one whose autograph is missing is Akiyama's, so he probably was not at Sasuke 27. I can't think of any other reason why his autograph would not be on the shirt. I hope Bunpei was able to compete.

Yeah Tiger this is a good thread for that. I was thinking the same thing but they could have taken the shirt to him at home for a TBS fluff piece since he's a hell of a lot closer to do that than Akiyama way up in Hokkaido. I HOPE he was there I'll concede that but I haven't seen him yet in any pics. I reeaaaaaaally hope he is

Actually, this could be totally off, but if you take a look at the picture that got removed from facebook showing the end of the steps, Rolling Escargot, New Obstacle, Jumping Spider... ect, first spot the bar for the new obstacle. Then move down slowly.. you'll see a man with the same hair cut and facial structure as Bunpei. I would have shown this in a picture but I'm currently on my Iphone. Now I'm aware this could be anyone... but it does kind of look like him.

So does anyone know when Sasuke airs on TBS? Last I checked Wikipedia had 7/24 listed but that has since been removed.
