Figured we can start this up since information is coming up piecemeal with about a week to go until taping.
There was a post today on twitter. This is from an actor going to Trials on the 16th. Ube posted his initial post before about dates and whatnot. Seems the dates are legit. The bigger issue is the last line of his message. We are trying to get more information about this and clarification as to exact meaning but it seems there will be a livestream of some sort on the 16th during Trials. That could be something TBS provided or it could just be something he posted saying he's going to tweet while he's there. If we get more clarification on it we'll put that. The message he posted is all we know as of now so take it at face value for the moment.
P.S. 60 going to trials with top 8 going to Sasuke.

Re: ANW on NBC, August 22nd
Provided that the season starts on time, it looks like ANWs biggest rivals for ratings that night will be the NFL preseason game on ESPN between the New York Giants and the Chicago Bears that starts at 8:00 PM and WWE Raw which starts at 9:00 PM and will be going head-to-head with ANW in some markets. There are also several MLB games going on that evening.
The football and baseball will only be going head-to-head on the East Coast for the most part but as stated earlier, RAW will be going head-to-head with ANW. RAW generally leads cable TV ratings, especially in the 18 - 49 age group.
I guess we should be glad that they aren't airing ANW during the regular football season.

Oh boy.. that's going to be an interesting night to watch ratings wise..
Awesome thanks for the update! I didn't even check what's on that night.
8PM is the preshow on G4 while the NBC thing starts at 9PM. I don't expect much on the way of ratings on G4 as it is though. I'm interested on how it does on NBC and the impact is has overall on the series and whether it returns again on NBC in the future.

Well, I can tell you that the Bears game will draw a little attention in the Chicago area. Despite how mad we get, Jay will still be our QB. Can't speak for the Giants.
Monday Night Raw will be in it's first hour for ANW. RAW generally does this, promo for main event, some matches, more promos, main event. The first hour is the first promo, then some matches. So, advantageous there.
As for baseball, there's not really any MARQUEE matchups, though the date is still a month away, so we'll see.
Also, if you want real-time info, Arsenette is flooding the Twitter stream XD.

LOL Sorry I'm trying to find stuff. Seems more than one person is also talking about a live stream.. but no confirmation yet. I'm really interested in seeing Trials if it's true. Though they are really taking a risk since TBS/M9 are not kind to NDA breakers.. granted it hasn't happened yet but if there IS a livestream they really need to get a move on and announce it so we can watch!

Also note that since the Giants/Bears game is going to be nationally televised it was announced earlier. The non-national TV preseason game dates and times haven't been announced yet. So it's possible (though not likely) that in some markets there may be another NFL preseason game on at the same time.

Monday Night Raw will be in it's first hour for ANW. RAW generally does this, promo for main event, some matches, more promos, main event. The first hour is the first promo, then some matches. So, advantageous there. The 2nd hour of RAW usually gets a higher rating than the first hour. If the first hour of ANW is all recappy then the actual exciting part would be eaten up by the WWE. The only good thing is that it's the show the week after SummerSlam so nothing truly important will happen unless, say the Rock shows up. Added: Oh wait, maybe RAW won't make much of a difference to NBC since the WWE is on USA which is under the NBC Universal umbrella. Duh.

Thing is unless they announce Rock is there IDK if the ratings will be any higher than a normal Raw after a PPV.

That's pretty cool that TBS will give 10 crowd spots even if they're asking for specific people.

I feel this is going to be one of those tournament waits where the moment we see any leaked pics they'll be saved in 50 places. With backups.

So if you find it hard to get information this time around via twitter, this might be why.
The person put up a few tweets about the show then after this message has only one other tweet about something unrelated.

I just hopes this means they'll get their heads out the dirt and promote it like it's the damn Olympics.

Also from that Twitter, it appears Kojima Yoshio is confirmed. He's the dude that does the groud punching thing, failed the Hazard Swing, and has a wardrobe akin to Hiromitsu Takahashi.
