Why do I have the feeling that Japan is lying to us so that they can get their revenge upon us for how we creamed them in 26. This was actually the reason why SASUKE 20 got only a 14.4, Levi beat everyone and plus, the course looked rusty and old. And again, Japan is trying to get back at us for doing great. Or they just want to kill SASUKE and get it over with.

While I can think of theories for G4 effing us over big time (because they have big time and IMO have done more damage to Sasuke than TBS ever has).. I don't see it with TBS who are dying to get a good show rating on anything they can get their hands on. As for the reasons why you think ratings are for what they are.. You need to do a bit more research on the subject before you keep saying it over and over. As for "trying to kill Sasuke".. uhm.. no. I don't believe they are doing what they are doing on purpose.. it's a style of doing business in Japan that hasn't been working for TBS for the better part of 10 years and it's killing them in the standings against the other television stations who have adapted with the times. I'm all for some conspiracy theories but none of what you are proposing is plausible or even makes sense.

He looks Asian. A better example would be an American who isn't Asian.

Maybe we can take the conversation about what constitutes ratings in another thread before this one is derailed? I just know many new people constitute popularity of a show with ratings when all it measure is viewership for that one night. Feel free to start that conversation on another thread and keep this one to possible dates discussion.

If we assume that your "we" means Americans, you're making it sound like G4 has absolutely no clue when the SASUKE taping is going to be and that the people going have just been sitting on their couches eating Cheetos, waiting for someone to call them. If you look at the announcements, the Trial and taping dates came soon after the August 22nd NBC date was revealed which would mean that there was probably some connection between the two. SASUKE 20 had a lot going against: 1) 19 had only two guys making it to the 2nd Stage (which I still love, by the way), something that might have killed off some of the momentum built by a slight ratings bump for 18 and 2) It was the first four hour broadcast. Almost 200 minutes were devoted to the 1st Stage. Also, I'm sorry I apparently wrote this at the time: "G4 should push for more spots, or at least automatic spots for their past competitors."
