My 6 worst obstacles ever, an obnoxiously long TL;DR presentation. 6. Dome StepsI thought the twist with the obstacle was really cool. It was only the rule that you couldn't use your hands that bugged me. This restriction on what body part can be placed where doesn't make any sense, and takes away from the strategic aspect of Sasuke. If someone want's to use their hands, they damn well should. 5. Final RingAlthough the Pipe Slider is a HARD obstacle to follow, the Final Ring was just an easier version of it. Not only did it unfairly not work with Nagano, but when it DID work, it wasn't really exciting. The Pipe Slider's gap, was although shorter, still harder to swing from. The Ring was easy to swing from, and as a result you get a mediocre obstacle that most people passed. Once people GOT to the final ring, I said "Whew, they'll pass stage 3 now!" An anticlimactic ending to Stage 3. 4. Slider DropThe slider drop is simply a lazy obstacle. There's alot of "lazy" obstacles in Sasuke. The Net Bridge, swing ladder, obstacles that are new, but not interesting. The Slider Drop is not only uninteresting, but has the potential to be cool. It's this potential that annoys me, and I want them to modify it so it was challenging. I feel Levi's fall in 25 was unfair as well. 3. Rope LadderI love obstacles at the end of stages that make you go "HURRY UP GO GO GO" The Rope Climb and Wall Lift are two great examples. And the rope ladder is too, however, it is TOO slow. I can't stand HOW LONG it takes for a competitor to get up there. Annoying. 2. Hang MoveEven a 300 pound person who's blind, deaf, and has ONE LEG could still EASILY PASS THIS OBSTACLE. 1. Shoulder WalkThe Shoulder Walk, in theory was cool.. It almost combined the Wall Lift, where you had to lift something heavy, and created a gap you had to traverse. However, they took an obstacle from another game show, and this particular game show has different rules. Sasuke is a "Go from Point A to Point B" show, not a "Go from Point A to Point B While Doing C." That's something you'd see in Viking, not Sasuke. And thus, is my number 1.

It's a tough act following JP's presentation, but here I go:
3.) Curtain Swing- This was possibly the worst attempt at upgrading an obstacle. Instead of improving on the Curtain Cling, they turned it into a joke.
2.) Slider Drop- I almost put this as #1. After the whiplash-enducing Chain Reaction followed by the even more brutal Downhill Jump, I expected a wicked first obstacle for the new second stage. Instead, they created the laziest, most uninspired obstacle of all time.
3.) Shoulder Walk- this needs no explanation, but I can't help pointing out that they ruined history. It's hard to disagree that it would be incredible if there was an obstacle that was on the course from day 1 and never removed. Of course, the Shoulder Walk replaced it for the ill-conceived Sasuke 18 and blew the trend of the all Lift ending the second stage.

I once loved the Final Ring, but when the producers turned it into a disgusting version of itself, I hated it. It should have retained its Sasuke 18-20 design and name, also, what possessed Higuchi to put a ladder into the final stage? He should have made a different climb altogether, keep the original "Diamond Ladder", make the Heavenly Ladder harder, or keep the time limit at 30 sec, and if there HAD to be an increase, make it only 35 sec long.

Um... what design change did it have? also, where the hell did u come up with the name "diamond ladder"? Knowing me, i probably missed something big (or the name came out last summer while i was away doing...stuff). And the worst obstacle? well, only one obstacle has ever infurriated me, and that one was... the halfpipe attack, around sasuke 23 when it got fuckin old. that and the log drop

It became a minature Circle Slider, it was originally supposed to be a harder version of the Pipe Slider, but the designers changed it so that it easily slid down the track.
I came up with the name "Diamond Ladder" because in the first 4 Shin-Sasuke tournaments, the ladder was made of steel, not rope.

a rope ladder is harder to climb than a steel ladder

2. Hang MoveEven a 300 pound person who's blind, deaf, and has ONE LEG could still EASILY PASS THIS OBSTACLE. Looks so familiar. Oh, now I see it.

If you ignore the fact it has bars instead of chains I HAVE the Hang Move at a playground...

Back to other obstacles, what I really hate in Stage 2 is the Swing Ladder, it sucked, I also despised the Narrow, but I loved the Tackle Machine.

Where the hell do you get your info?

Uh, the Japanese said "Final Ring" during 20, also, the track wasn't straight, it was slightly curved so that the challenger would have to actually WORK to beat stage 3, in 21, they made a mistake with the track which kept it in its "Final" Ring form, in 22, they made it so that it would glide down the track. Before 24, I came up with a design that would force you to push the ring down the track halfway before you could slide down, that would have restored it to its former sadistic glory that the designers destroyed in 22.

I referenced 21. Not 20. We all know it was called Final Ring in 20. "Grinding" Ring was just a name most of us use here to describe what it did in 21 instead of what it should have done. 2. Please highlight where the hell was the track curved in anyway? The rest of your post is irrelevant to our conversation. Especially since you always seem to note facts in a "matter of fact" manner like you have insider info or something.

You didn't see it? It was in the middle of the track.

You didn't see it? It was in the middle of the track. The Gliding Ring (Working or otherwise) had the same amount of curve in the track... and that curve is downwards, so it would give you speed at the start... so it would help more than make it difficult..

True, but the Final Ring's track wasn't oiled to make it slick and besides, the track had the habit of bending a lot as seen in 21.
