That's not what an unpredictable obstacle is... That one you can see it when you get there, won't change the whole day, hit the trampoline and spider walk through the walls... An unpredictable obstacle is something like the ANW2 Bridge of Blades or the degree of turns of the Doorknob Grasper. Unpredictable Obstacle is something that reacts different every time someone attempts it, not something that changes between tournaments...

Nagano still has potential in him. Besides, if the producers hadn't been so nice in SASUKE 23, you would have been asked if he would fail six times in a row!

It was the Slider Jump's fault.

Nagano's more mental than physical now, how many times if a row will he fail stage 1 till now if no one realized the malfunctioning in 23?

I think Nagano can clear the first stage, but for whatever reason, I have a really bad feeling he'll fail it again. I sure hope I'm wrong.

That bad feeling is dead on me. If he is to fail, everyone should fail Stage 1!

I honestly can't decide myself. We all know he can do it, but it's gotten to be more of a mental issue than physical.
It's truly 50-50 for me so I can't vote....not yet at least.

Age is not cause really, Minoru Kuramochi was on Rolling escargot and he was near the goal. Now seriously, Nagano is o.k., he can do it. Yamada is old, he made a mistake when he came back. Thats my opinion

Maybe he will fail in 27 but he will pass it someday...I highly doubt that he'll become Yamada No.2 - a feat which I don't like too see.

Gut feeling is no. But realistically speaking there is no reason why he or Yuuji should fail. No excuses if they do. They're too good to lose in the first stage.
Oh yeah, and hi again guys!

My Hero Nagano will beat the stupid 1st Stage this time I feel it! And go on to either the final or flying bar.

It's not gonna happen. However, with Sasuke, anything could happen.

I really hope he clears stage 1 but I just have a bad feeling about it... I say if the JS is lowered to its 24 position then he will clear.

With the introduction of some more lower body obstacles in the 1st Stage, I can unfortunetly see him failing it again. But, agreeing with Cole, if the JS is lowered (Which judging by that one 1st Stage pic way back when) I think it was, I think he has a much better shot at clearing.
Sasuke 24 was a total fluke fail. We all know it was. I don't count this tourny as one of his 1st Stage defeats. He could have easily had been crowned a 2-time champion had it not been for him rushing.
Sasuke 25: He's not the tallest of the competitors, and for his height, that was one hell of a jump.
Sasuke 26: The JS is way too far for most japanese competitors, due to their average height. He just couldn't stick his landing due to the changes in the walls. If they're lowered in 26, I can't see him failing it.

They made the same mistake as in 19th. They will lower it, because they sure want more foreign clears.(Americans pwned the course in 26th) USA-5 JAP-4
