I'm saying yes purely out of optimism lol.

Seeing the progress that was made in 26, I have to say yes. It's a 50/50 chance though seeing how tough the first 3 obstacles are.

If the right people make it to the third stage, I can see a clear.
However, I put NO just based on the unpredictable course modifications and the uncertainty of clearing the first and second stage.

Also depends on who reaches it. IMO there are still only a few top competitors who I'm very confident could clear it at this point. The UNCLI members (most likely Yuuji), some of the other STQers (especially Hashimoto and Tajima), Kishimoto, David, and Nagano are the only ones I'd be more surprised fail it than clear it. Takahashi, Li, Okuyama, and maybe Kanno I could see beating or nearly beating it; Takeda, Brian, Yamamoto, etc. have lower chances and unless they really start to specifically practice on a UCH replica they're probably not getting past it. Either way, it'll still gonna depend more on who can get there and with enough stamina left. Stage 1 was brutal in 26, and considering how 25 and 26 had completely different First Stages there is absolutely no idea in what 27's First Stage will have in store (and therefore who is even likely to get past it, as well as Stage 2 and pre-UCH Stage 3). After all, it's not like the UCH is the very first obstacle on the course, because then I'm 99% sure we'd see it be cleared. Point blank, I was swaying back and forth as to whether or not think there will be a UCH clear this time around, but in the end I said no (though I do think 27 will end ever-so-slightly farther in the UCH than in 26). In 28 however I predict Stage 3 will follow suit eerily similar to 21's. What I mean by this is that IMO we'll actually see 2 UCH clears, with the first one ending on either the "Circle Swing" or "Bungee Rope Climb" and the second one ending on the last Stage 3 obstacle, the "Flying Bar". Very far-off prediction, but I've already ranted on for a while so I thought I might as well finish my thoughts on this. So, in response to the original question as a "one word" answer, NO. EDIT: jfeathe pretty much summed up everything I said in his post above mine. Yeah...

I think the farthest anyone makes it is the 5th ledge.
edit: assuming the preceding obstacles stay the same and the cliffhanger isn't modified.

Look, the Floating Boards are in the garbage can and four stupid wheels are in their place, the UCH can be beaten when there's such a weak preceding obstacle.

Didn't stop everyone failing it in 26 though did it? (removing the floating boards).

I was on the fence about someone beating it in 26. I said "yes" granted the right people reached it, but I do think it was a little too soon.
This time I really do think someone will beat it under 2 conditions.
1. Stage 3 is unchanged
2. Tough competitors (including Yuuji) make it to stage 3.

I would agree with this except for the fact that the first two obstacles were made much harder. If people can blast through the RC/DG combo even more than David did in 26 (which would only happen through a modification), there might be a fair chance at a UC clear. Otherwise, I still give a strong NO.

It won't take long, Cycling Road is an easy obstacle and besides, note how the RC/DG combo only takes up one obstacle area, not two and the third ledge is lower than 25, I'll bet my pet tarantula's next molted skin that it can be done in 27, if not, I'll give you (jfeathe) the tarantula's molted skin, if it is, I keep the skin.

I reckon Nagano or Yuuji would definatly beat it in one go the UCH but all depends on them getting there.
The poll is irrespective of conditions its just yes or no will someone beat it obviously the wrong people make it there then theres your answer if the right do well chances are we will get a clear. The poll question is half answered really on your own feelings if the right people make stage 3 and how you think the tournament is going to go for the main contenders.
I assume a majority of those who think the UCH will remain unbeaten in 27 are also predicting similar to 26 where all the likely candidates will end up skanked out in the earlier stages..

All in all I say yes. It's very possible for Yuuji and Nagano to not reach there, but I just can't see them both failing 3 times in a row that early on. Or more like I hope that's not the case.

Couldn't help myself putting in conditions, but yeah, Nagano and Yuuji would squash the UCH. However, Nagano's recent faliures are more of mental errors, the same goes for Yuuji, they both don't have their heads in the game, if they did, we'd be seeing the UCH getting killed in both 25 and 26.

I put yes, but it really does depend on if the right competitors get there. But I believe they will, and we'll see a clear...hopefully.
