Heck, they could give him 81 if it means the entire first stage would be in daylight. It's happened before.
Although, if I was picking, I'd probably give that 81 to Paul Kasemir if he's there.

The contestants starting position at Sasuke 27:
The start line of stage 1. Do I win?
Okay.... I thought this through now: 90 Sato H 91 Shingo 92 Kongu 93 Brian O 94 David C 95 Takeda 96 Koji 97 Lee 98 Okuyama 99 Nagano 100 Yuuji
80s will have: Brent, Paul, Travis (if they return) Kanno Tajima Yamada Iketani Terukazu Bunpei (if he returns) Naoto Miyazaki Washimi etc.
I know I was pulling legs about Akiyama but I expect him getting a number in the 60s or 70s as well.

If I gave #1 to someone, I would be Tomokazy Tanaka, the first ever SASUKE competitor and he made it deep into Stage 1. 97 will probably stay with Okuyama, 98, maybe Akiyama if there is only daylight in the course, 26 started in the late afternoon so they might want to get an early start for 27.
