Sasuke ending predictions are starting to get about as ridiculous as world ending predictions. There's a new one every Sasuke and every Sasuke they turn out to be false. And what did we expect, they were just based off speculation anyway. Someday Sasuke will end and someday the world will end. Hopefully not for a while on both counts. I don't really see the point of freaking out and thinking every Sasuke is the last one or that every year on earth is our last before armageddon.

Enjoy it until that day. No point stressing over it now.

Well when the national media stops getting information from TBS to print then maybe we can calm down. Last time I checked that's the point of discussion and considering everyone else who is in Sasuke Japan has been on pins and needles each time the ratings are down and TBS publicly declares a disaster it's not easy to not see what it is they are fearing. TBS is the one that starts these rumors anyway and Ube and I are of the opinion that they are doing this to try to drum up ratings as as scare. I know US networks do it all the time so it's not shocking that TBS is doing this.

I stay as positive as I can. Though my biggest concern is that it'll be canceled before I'm old enough to even get a single shot as going.
I don't have a fear that it'll be over 1 or 2 tournies, but do I really think it'll go on for 3 years? Dunno... I hope so. I've already waited 5.

Completely understandable I know I can only speak for myself but the reason why "I" even post these things (outside of sharing the Japanese news from the newspapers, news, press releases, etc.) is to continue to bring Sasuke to the forefront. Part of Sasuke's problem in Japan is that it's out of sight.. so it's out of mind and people don't even know when they are on. If they don't know when it's on the ratings continue to suffer. So the more we talk about it the more people become interested again. I'm not talking about the hardcore obviously.. we'll watch Just gets frustrating from my point of view to be bitched at for 'spreading rumors' when all I'm doing is posting the public information that's out in the friggin' Japanese news outlets. It's like people think I invent this stuff to cause riots. I for one am hoping for huge ratings so people can stop sending me hate mail.

TBS needs to advertize.
Back on topic, any news about trials yet? Or did I miss it?

It is shocking they said they will have them on the press release.. that's really unusual. That said they don't share that information with outsiders I usually find out from the competitors themselves and they are quiet this time around.

Maybe it's a good thing they're being quiet ^ Yeah THAT is a good sign. I know one spot was attained from Maguro Festival and I know for a fact they went as a group so I'm hoping one of them made it You know I'm crossing my fingers for Keita (the ONLY UNCLI to have never been in Sasuke (Sr. since he was in Jr. Sasuke). My guess is that they got contacted with a "Stay tuned" for trials. In the past though a few of them didn't get past the application process so I'm hoping that since they announced it ahead of time that the applications are wider this year.

Keita would be awesome. Ryo would too (Though he's already had a few shots... he has potential).
Yuuji is obviously going. We don't hear too much from the others.
