Did Nagano get to run the course? It's eluded to that he tested it. When the rains finished yesterday and they started the course there was a tweet going "the course is wet.. even Nagano had trouble with it".

On the original Final Stage (50 ft rope) he would seem to be pretty close to winning with 17 seconds in 14 meters. Dare I say actually clear it.

Damn, even in Malaysia's course, Nagano can't catch a break. He failed the Half-Pipe Attack.

LMAO on the pics.. what's funny is that Asami TOOK a lot of pics of people hugging her (then boyfriend) when they were in the USA together a few years ago. I think she's used to it by now. ;D
Btw got a message from the owner of the Youtube account that has Cat's reel on it. It's not Cat.. THIS is Cat's account:
As for Nagano on the HPA someone implied that the whole course was still too wet since this was RIGHT after the torrential downpours. A few people put "even Nagano had problems". Thanks for letting us know where he lost his grip.

So according to the Yahoo Japan article, only 86 people competed in the trials? Also, they seem to imply that they're using this more to address the Malaysia's obesity problem than Sasuke itself and/or using Sasuke to resolve it. Also if anyone hasn't seen the translation of the article here's what Google Translate gave me (I've highlighted some of the key information; also, it's in spoiler tags because of length only): Sports TBS variety show "SASUKE" in Malaysia "export" the 28 Sun, was published in the local recording. The country has become a social problem of obesity, the government adopted a national policy to get rid of this program. Prime Minister Najib during an inspection visit, challenged 86 people in the highest level of difficulty athletic participants.
The city recorded 27 and 28, held two days of Putrajaya. The giant set is organized on the street in front of the Islamic courts, 86 participants. Prime Minister Najib came to visit.
Before recording, fisherman Makoto Nagano on the show the most popular and charismatic (39) showed that the solve. Suffered raining, competition "Hafupaipuatakku" slipped failure. Bathed in the applause of local fans still witty poise.
In Malaysia, under the age of 50 or 30 percent are obese. World Health Organization (WHO) survey, 60 percent of adult BMI (body mass index) exceeds the reference value. High rate of obesity is the sixth in Asia, but also a serious shortage of people with chronic physical activity.
The cancellation of the nation's obesity problem of the people, local television station officials "SASUKE" was introduced to the country's Ministry of Youth and Sports, "consistent with national policy" was adopted as the government. Edition it was decided to launch the country on government support. Although broadcasters decided, will be broadcast on the country's independence day on August 31. Because there was no recorded accidents at and injured, it will continue in the future.
Various obstacles to the show, "Ninja Sarutobi Sasuke" athletic games will be cleared to light and so on. Japanese version, but all four stages, only the local version of the first stage and final stage. The winner Muhammad's self Parido Ishamu (29), it was decided to participate in the Japanese version also nearby.
«Worldwide popularity» SASUKE this summer, NBC will be broadcast in prime time. Currently, the show has been sold to 153 countries and regions, which boasts a worldwide popularity. According to program officials, even in Malaysia and neighboring countries "to make their own version," and that there is demand. BTW great find lostinube. The research you and arsenette do is awesome.

The article was written for the first day of competition. They ran another something like 50 more the following day. I'm hearing well over 106 (rumor is around 130's) that ran the course. We'll find out later in the summer for sure but that definitely was the first day numbers. 84 ran day 1 and they must have included Nagano and 1 more person since they started with #85 on Saturday morning.
As for the article itself. SM was created with the help of the government as a test run for a program in that country. The subsequent article I linked earlier said that "because no one was hurt they will continue with the program" meaning that the officials watching, including the Prime Minister were happy with SM to the point where they okayed a series for future Sasuke Malaysia's. The rumor is that they will have another competition later THIS year.

Arsenette, I hate to call you out, but how do you have 4 articles on Sasuke Malaysia, but not a single article on ANW3?

The health angle was always a part of SASUKE Malaysia which is why it was such a natural tie in to the National Youth Day stuff. And it's tied to via production company to Biggest Loser Asia.

Arsenette, I hate to call you out, but how do you have 4 articles on Sasuke Malaysia, but not a single article on ANW3? Because I already wrote on the first set of ANW events. This is new for Malaysia thus I write about it. The same way I write about Taiwan.. before they canceled it. Your point? Besides.. I b*tch about G4 all the time. I like to mix it up every now and then by writing something positive P.S. Calling me out has never been a problem for you Juice So you don't need to put that you hate doing it Just comes so naturally
