They're really expecting an American to make the final or at least passed the cliffhanger. That's what it looks like at least. Actually that's not entirely the case? NBC already has their fall lineup set it seems so they are throwing it at the end of the summer lineup which makes sense. They've pretty much got nothing to lose with that timeslot. Am surprised it's as early as it is since "fall" season in television means late September on. LOL It's going to air on my birthday. They're not going to give it a primetime slot on National channel to see all the Americans eliminated by the cliffhanger for the 3rd consecutive ANW. They're expecting a clear. It would be kind of embarrassing if they all failed before then. Not saying I hope this but they're expecting a big result. I'll consider it a spoiler if ANW ends up not getting the time slot.

Timeslot is set no matter what.. that's not how TV works.. they will get a 2 hour block on NBC even if they have to fill the damn thing with junk I see your point on the clear thing given the results to 26. But we all know that doesn't mean jack given the unpredictability of that course. That's what I find fascinating actually but not core to this discussion.

Okay so maybe they don't care about the result as a whole but if the Americans are eliminated by the end of stage 2 I won't be surprised if it only airs on G4.

Or... its because they have an open timeslot, Comcast likes Ninja Warrior, and wants to put it on NBC. Like Arsenette said, thye ahve nothing to lose. Its like saying a... Lakers vs. Heat game (say its prerecorded for the sake of arguement), and if he gets moved out of primetime because say the Lakers won 122-78. Its still good television, so why wouldn't it be on primetime anyways.

No Sunday night preseason football helps your argument as well but I'm going to stick with what I said.

They won't change the timeslot.. they just won't. It's bad form for a network to sabotage their own premiere. The prime season won't start until September so there's literally nothing but filler in the summer so it's a perfect time to put something up at that time. They don't have much to lose.. now... if the show was airing in late September competing with other prime shows.. THAT would be a different story but it's not. It's at a safe spot during filler season. Just like Sasuke Japan does all the time.

Guess you're right but if for some odd reason they cancel I'm going to assume what I said is true. And that may be incorrect as well. So if they show the Americans, Comcast will get what they want when I watch and improve the rating by a microscopic amount regardless of the American's result.

NBC's showing of ANW .. well.. lemme rephrase that.. Sasuke 27 sans everyone else.. LOL has the potential to do well. Depends on how they present it to a new audience. Given that at it's peak the highest amount of people ever to sit and watch a G4 show (which was ANW2's premiere episode only.. and yes that's higher than any NW broadcast by a longshot) was significantly under 300k people.. NBC has a chance to convert new people to this show simply because of it's reach. It's on a Monday night, most people are flipping channels to find something to watch especially for their kids who are out of school and driving them insane during summer break (LOL) so I can see a 2-3 million viewership for that one episode. It's not out of the ordinary since shows like Deadliest Catch on CABLE can generate that on a weekly basis with half the market available to them. Let's see how this goes.
I for one am hoping TBS airs Sasuke 27 BEFORE August 22nd.. seriously..

So, we can expect... a mid July taping date I seriously doubt they would do Sasuke in mid-July. July 13th-15th is Obon, at least in the Tokyo area. Obon is pretty important in Japan. I doubt they would do Sasuke during or around Obon.

I hope they return to a week or 2 after the taping.

Just because I don't know, doesn't mean I'm not right.

Point being that there is no written documentation by TBS announcing anything so you can't possibly be "right" about anything that hasn't even happened yet. Speculation is one thing but you are speaking as "fact" and that's not even physically possible.

Someone can be right about something that may or may not happen in the future. No need to cover up to make yourself the "correct" person. No need to use word play or anything. It's a prediction and a prediction about something can turn out to be true. Now if you're going to deny that, you deserve a facepalm. Have a good night.

That is what I'm trying to avoid in this instance since there are so many damn unsubstantiated rumors going around but apparently you didn't get the memo.
