The last thing I'd wanna see for the possibly final SASUKE is a repeat of 19. If it airs on NBC then more people would know what it is and boom more people will create accounts here. If more people here was enough to keep Sasuke alive we wouldn't be talking about it's end every tournament now would we?

If you're going to act like a smartass to someone, at least make sense.

I think what he's trying to say is that sure, SMF may get more members (assuming people find the forum) but in terms of keeping Sasuke on air, it's pretty moot.

Well, that and the fact that G4 is pretty much unknown to everyone (except us). Rider, I'm not talking about people coming here to make SASUKE stay in general, it's watching the tournaments in general. If more people knew about SASUKE then the rating would boost at least to maybe 12 or 13. THEN more people would come here. Seeing most of G4's ads it's no wonder people don't tune in.

And besides, even if the number of members on here all watched Sasuke and were counted, it would be pretty insignificant anyways.

Can we please move on from the NBC is going to save Sasuke nonsense? Last time I checked NBC isn't aired in Japan where the ratings for THIS show aren't even calculated? I need a third party facepalm...

I love how everyone thinks one way, Arsenette says something, EVERYONE repeats what she says, and than when Iams says what everyone once said, everyone calls him on it. It's funny. To say that Ninja Warriors popularity hasn't helped Sasuke at all, I disagree with. Will Ninja Warrior being on NBC help Sasuke in Japan? I don't know. I don't think any of us really know. I'm sure TBS has made alot of money off of Ninja Warrior though, and this will help Ninja Warrior's popularity, hopefully pushing it into even more countries. Will that help Sasuke? How can't it?

Because Ninja Warrior =/= Sasuke? Unless G4 keeps all the money it makes from keeping, selling/distributing Ninja Warrior, than your equation is false. I can't find anything on what usually makes a show get cancelled in Japan. I tried looking for DOORS ratings, but I couldn't find it. But if it can survive after a 5.whatever, I can't see how Sasuke isn't getting life support from the Ninja Warrior franchise.

Well... Mainly that's because when Arsenette says something she considers it and does research and knows what she's talking about... When Aking says something it's so wrong you wonder what's wrong with the world for someone's brain to even work like that and think that made any sense...

But if it can survive after a 5.whatever, I can't see how Sasuke isn't getting life support from the Ninja Warrior franchise. 5 years of working television both affiliate and network level. 3 years of university with an RTF (radio television film) major. Had it not been that my health sucks I would have stayed in that industry... but life doesn't work out the way you want to. Any questions? As for what makes things get canceled you are reading what you want since it's been dead clear why TBS was dumping expensive shows. Apparently you forgot the article in great detail with the follow ups on how every single piece of information was verified to be correct. Just because the date of Sasuke 27 was moved it's still slated to be canceled after this. TBS is heavy in the red even before the earthquake. Unless sponsors change their minds and start reinvesting in Sasuke Japan's advertising on TBS. The show is over. As for DOORS there are different problems that go with that show that have been posted many times by Ube so I won't bother reprinting it since no one reads about it as it is. Besides the show is 100% celebrity so it's not even a fair comparison to Sasuke in terms of advertising value.

So TBS doesn't get a dime out of the Ninja Warrior tournaments they sell through G4? What a dumb company if that's the case.

The money that TBS makes off of Ninja Warrior doesn't necessarily go straight into SASUKE. They have dramas, radio programs, and movies to make plus a baseball team they've been trying to dump for a while.

A show that gets a 20 or over is usually considered a big hit. Overall, ratings have declined across the board for all programs so shows are now winning slots with ratings at around 15 or so.
But ratings don't always equal money. Events like the World Cup and the Olympics can garner big numbers but due to licensing fees stations can lose money.
