The voting thing was hated in the sim.. I don't think it would work well on a real version.. More like YOU hated it

I think the voting is hard to gauge who will like it. Obviously Rider hated it because he got the most votes every round for some reason, where as someone like Bada loved it because... well.. Rider got the most votes every round.
I personally don't like voting, but I think a mixture of voting someone off + performance based elimination isn't quite so bad.

Well past competitors should be getting emails sometime next week. If I get more details before they are posted to the website I'll post as tentative info since everything can always change.

this whole thing is interesting. i imagine many of the same videos from last time will be sent. i'm not going to stress over ANW3 until it's tied to sasuke, either.

Cool please let us know what the emails say. I do think (just like you posted on the G4 forums) that the wording is a very interesting CYA maneuver.

I don't know about you guys but I'm totally stoked about this. Even though I'm 20, I'm still entering as I'll be 21 in April. Good lucky to me!

Maybe I just heard it wrong, but they did say to go bootcamp "for a chance to compete on a bonified Ninja Warrior course." They didn't say go-to-Japan-and-compete-on-Sasuke.
I don't think we should be taking this to mean ANW3 is tied to Sasuke 27 (or Sasuke 28). This could be the beginning of ANW becoming its own thing.

True... but going to that conclusion is a little far fetched. Maybe they are saying it, because they aren't sure if Sasuke is continuing or not by the time they reached the final 10. It makes sense if TBS/M9 told G4, "Yeah, there MAY not be a Sasuke 28, so just letting you guys know." And who the f*** says "Bonified" anymore?

Hostesses on G4 say bonified because it makes teenagers and TV Producers giggle. Considering the low ratings Sasuke has gotten and costs incurred with it, I don't think it's too far fetched to think G4 wants to keep making money off of Ninja Warrior/Sasuke, even if M9 can't anymore. I just think G4 is being flexible so they don't promise anything they (or in this case M9) can't deliver.

I agree. It sounds like they don't really know what will happen at this point, but it seems like they are fairly confident that the top 10 will be sent to Japan. As for the format, I would like to see three changes: 1) let the guys work on the obstacles set up for much longer. The obstacles are there and G4 wants them to go far, so why not let them play around on them? I would say let them use them the whole time but I can't see that happening because of safety stuff. 2) Have the challenges relevant to specific obstacles. Instead of a human flag challenge or something that is very general, test things like speed, strength, or agility by using actual obstacles. For example, have a challenge where competitors are placed aganst a lower warped wall that they need to climb and hit a button on the top in 30 seconds. Then the ones that are able to climb it in 30 seconds go on to face the same warped wall but higher (like monster box except with a warped wall). Then do challenges like that for other obstacles as well. 3) No voting. Most know that complainst about this already. They should set up a system that automatically chooses who is weaker and needs to go on the ropes without having the competitors themselves choosing.

Bootcamp can be helpful. I agree different format. Everyone for themselves? Worst 2 climb the rope....

We mean completely eradicate the voting and have the worse times on the losing team go automatically.

Well it does make for good tv, just not really with the audience they had. I agree it would be the best if it were general audience but it seems like fans in general did not enjoy that (me included)

Well obviously the fans aren't the majority of people because ratings didn't drop as severely as we assumed it did.

I liked the voting. Makes for good television *eats popcorn.* Thank god none of you guys are TV directors. At least for me, the voting wasn't a problem, but we weren't trying to find a person to win 1,000,000 bucks (and I love Survivor), we were trying to find the 10 best to get far in Sasuke (which we did, but it wasn't a perfect road). All they need to do with no voting is not show us the individual times and then reveal after everyone went or reveal the times to us AND them which adds drama because they now know not just how not to mess up but how fast to go. After that, overall totals are then revealed, worse team has the two with the worse times go up, thus it's not just a competition to make your team win but to ensure your safety in case your team doesn't. Will it necessarily = ratings? No one can be sure, would it get a better reaction than the voting, I'd be confidant on it.
