I've always wondered what Nagano's wall fail in Sasuke 7 looked like. There's a video of a special that was run before Bunpei was even an All-Star that showed Nagano's fail in Sasuke 7! Videos are cool .. especially for us who've never seen it. If you don't know where to find it just PM a mod.

I liked the special since it had a Sasuke 1-8 retrospect.. then got to the All-stars after that. As you can tell it was a Yamada heavy episode. Towards the end turned into Kunoichi catch all episode.

I haven't watched the whole thing yet, just the clip of Nagano in Sasuke 7, and then part of the one with Akiyama and Shingo. Shingo really doesn't get the respect he deserves. They hardly spent any time on him. I don't mind it being heavy on Yamada, though, since I like him, too. I'll watch the rest later. I'm getting ready to go to a martial arts tournament this afternoon. I'm competing in empty-hand kata and grappling. If I remember, I'll blog about it later. Anyway, thanks for finding this. So far it looks really cool.

He was a 2 time finalist and between SASUKE 4 and SASUKE 12, he never wore a number lower than #96. So, he was an important competitor for years even back then. |

^My thoughts exactly. Even now they don't really spend much time on Shingo when they do the Navi or some other special, like the Kanzenseiha special. Don't get me wrong, Nagano deserves the attention he gets, and Yamada too, I just wish that TBS/M9 would pay more attention to Shingo.

^I think he meant in general. Even now that Bunpei is an All-Star they don't spend much time on him in the Navi or other specials.

How come Shingo never got #99 or #100 I think Omori, Yamada, and Akiyama took those spots in the early competitions and then Nagano and others took them after that. |

Shingo didn't get 99 or 100 because they gave Akiyama and Yamada those numbers (like Jfeathe said). I must say Shingo did get really high numbers in the 90's even with his poor results in S4, S6, S8, and S10. Even nowadays he gets high numbers with poor results.
