Hmm. For fun? EDIT: Since everyone around here seems to be so keen on being right, we can come back here in 6 months (or so) and settle the scores

I'm going to wait for a more accurate competitor list. Half of out guesses were no-shows or skipped and many people we didn't know were going to be there until it was too late.

It's a bit early for obstacle specific predictions. This should probably be a thread more for general thoughts, hunches, premonitions, logical reasoning, wild guessing, etc.

Sasuke 22: The Final Stage will be reached. I said it after Sasuke 20 and I stand by that statement. I also think Nagano and Takeda are the only ones that can make it that far. That's it. I believe Nagano will make it unless they change an obstacle in the later half of the 3rd Stage. If Takeda doesn't make a dumb mistake, he can make it to the Gliding Ring.

I also think Nagano has a good chance making the Final Stage this time, Maybe Takeda can finally make it to the Final Stage too.

For some reason I think either takeda or shiratori might make it the farthest

I predict Yamamoto finally gets past this first stage, and that we'll have at least four of the all-stars (himself, Shiratori, Takeda and Nagano) make it to at least stage 2. I'm thinking Yamada can make it further too, at least past the Warped Wall. Stage 3 will probably house Nagano and Takeda, and as for other competitors, we'll have to wait and see.

Nagano is going to the final stage I've called it too , he won't screw up the final/gliding ring again. BANK ON IT!

Wasn't it in Sasuke 9? he failed the pipe slider after continually fialing early on the course, and in 10 he conqured it an made it to the final stage?
I see history repeating itself.

I hope it doesn't repeat. In 10 he failed the Jump Hang, lol.

Yeah, that's like the equivalent of Nagano failing the Jumping Spider in 22. But my prediction: Nagano to the Final, Takeda and Bunpei to end of Stage 3, Yamamoto to Cliff, Yamada further than the Warped Wall, but not sure how far (My guesses range from the Flying Chute, to timing out on the Rope Ladder, to the Salmon Ladder, to past the Cliff-hanger) I know, it seems optimistic, but I feel like 22's gonna even more of a All-Star-fest.

I know we always say this, but I think Yamada might have a decent chance of beating stage one this time. I don't think he will, though. I can see him failing the Warped Wall legitimately, or timing out (I think he'd pass the chute). Who knows, maybe the Jumping Spider would catch him out again? Or a new obstacle? I think if he passed the first stage, nothing in the second would stop him apart from the clock. In stage three I think he'd pass the Cliff Hanger. EDIT: This is discounting injury. I dunno. My first reaction to his performance in 21 was "he's done for" in terms of Sasuke.
Shingo seems all set for the first stage apart from the Chute. If he passed, I think he might have some trouble with the Salmon Ladder.
We all know what Nagano is capable of. If there are no mistakes, he should get to the Gliding Ring again and this time have the endurance to make an attempt at the jump.

Sorry, I don't think the Final Stage will be defeated again for a while, whatever the obstacles may be.

If it's a ladder he can do it. It doesn't matter if it's new, on all 4 of Nagano's attempts he's done consistantly well on the final stage. He always gets to the rope at least, and even on his worst attempt he got halfway up it.

Last time I checked getting to the halfway point of the rope doesn't mean beating the Final Stage. It doesn't matter how easy or hard the new Final Stage is, he won't beat it the first time.
It took 12 attempts to beat the 1st version. It took 10 attempts to beat the 2nd version.
He has no idea how to properly attack the Final Stage in order to beat it. Plus, unless he's going off what he saw at the end of 20, he probably hasn't trained for it either. So, no he's not going to beat it the first time.

I never said beat it his first time, I said if it's a ladder, he can do it.
He could do the old final stage, but it took him 4 tries.
Guess it may have been misleading with the convo above my post, but that's not what I meant.
Either way, we don't know what the final stage is, but I strongly believe if it's a simple ladder climb, that it'll be easier than the old final stage. Then again it might still take longer to beat because it's even harder to get to the final stage now.

I say Lee MYUENBAGU Vai will make it to the 3rd stage and pass the Cliff Hanger, but epic fail on the Jumping Bars. Nagano WILL make it to the final stage and Takeda will also. Yamada, Wall Lift. Yamamoto, (call me crazy) Final Stage.

Ties severed? For some reason, I'm starting to agree. I did read here the reason Shunsuke didn't go to 21, but I'm worried that, as you said, they've become the new Kosugi brothers. A really big loss, if in fact we lost them.
