I know this thread is what you guys want to happen, but it's unrealistic.
The main reason is just because ANW would lose ratings if familiar and big names didn't go.
It would be more exciting to watch it with Levi and Brian and them mixed in, than just more new people.

That was actually quoted.. I remember reading (not sure if it was a TBS thing or not) "oh we have Levi Meeuwenberg competing.. he's our Makoto Nagano".. again. it's not a qualifying competition for them as it should be.. it's literally the American version of Sasuke so THEY (meaning G4) could make money here using the guys that made it to Japan the last few times. THAT is unfair and one of the reasons why I despise ANW as it is currently set up. If it was a true qualifier a whole mess of things would change and *gasp* might actually be fair to the poor guys who are having to go through this crap just to get to Japan. I blame M9/TBS to even allowing this but this is their last gasp. G4 dangled way too much money in front of them to refuse. Though again.. I'm really worried since Sasuke 26 was considered a failure.

For 27 they should send the 5 who cleared stage one and save ANW3 for Sasuke 28 (assuming everything goes right with Sasuke's survival...) and also let Levi compete since he should still have a standing invite for 25 (Levi, Brian and Richard cleared in 23, didn't go to 24, and were at 25.. so it should count here too...) I agree with this. Firstly because G4 doesn't have time to do a qualifier between sasuke's and so rewarding those that excelled the first time with another shot is good. Secondly because if America got 10 spots every competition, it'd descend even more into the "AMERIKA vs NIHON" crap the producers were doing. Not to mention, there's other countries in the world. You don't deserve 15 spots as it'd pretty much just cut down on the chances of any other foreigners entering, (HI TAIWAN) and that's not fair.

10 spots is more than enough. Hopefully they just send the second stage finalists+levi. Save ANW3 hopefully for the 27th survival challenge...
I mean, 10 spots is already a tenth of the all the competitors. That's a pretty hefty number. I wish it was downsized so that it would feel a bit more special to see our own guys run the course.

As long as we get another tournament sometime soon before the middle of the year/end of the year, I think honestly we all have to prove ourselves again for it. It's one thing if the 5 that passed stage 1 does get invited back for the next tourney before ANW and all, but if it falls under the spot of where it's time for ANW again, I do honestly think that we all have to try out and prove ourselves again. The main thing that we all seem to forget, we get only one shot to do the course right on the spot, and if we make a mistake and we either get a time out or fall in the water.....it's game over.
No one can totally predict how it'll go with any one performance, so at least doing the try-outs, it'll keep everyone alert and on their toes to be set for the real deal.
The main wish I'll have (if it does come back) is actually a reformatting for boot camp. It's actually not bad where they had actual replicas (to a point) of the actual course, but the "process of elimination" needs to change drastically. I'd honestly say, let the "finalists" be there for a few days and on the final day, time for the "final test" to see who goes to Japan and who goes home. Let it be like a true boot camp of being a "rite of passage".
