They don't correlate, he's just stating the obvious. Like Scnoi said, If Iketani can't pass the DSL he has no chance on the UCH. Yuuji is obviously different cos we know he can beat the DSL. Has he passed it?

I think that was fluke. I'm sure he is capable of clearing it easily. It just looked like in 25 he jumped the gun a little bit. It doens't mean he can't if he hasn't already.

Actually what it looked like he tried to do was actually jump UP a level so he only would have to do the large gap left. It backfired as he only got one side of it on.

Look at the side that actually caught, I don't think that was his plan at all.. I think he was just too good at it and had one side ending up going too high and screwing him over... If he was trying to jump up and missed it wouldn't have happened like it did, would have just been the same as naoki's fail ironically enough..

But I think that exactly was his plan because it actually worked for the one side. If you look at the video again, the side that missed hit the rung and that's why it didn't line up properly.

Yuuji failed the DSL, though I think he'd have a good shot at clearing the UCH. I don't see your point Yuuji =/= Iketani. He's saying that if Iketani can't handle the DSL, then he definitely couldn't handle the UCH. It makes sense too, Iketani was 0 for 2 on the V3 Cliffhanger. Exactly! Iketani is strong, but his hands seem to be his weakness, because the grip on his hands seem to grip wrong sometimes. If I'm not mistaking his hand was twitching in 16. His jack a** brother Yukio would have laughed at his DSL failure too. EDIT:Who thinks he'd have failed the regular Salmon Ladder, and SCH.

He only cleared the Cliffhanger once and that was when it debuted. If he couldn't beat any ledge when it was raised how the hell could he have beaten the SCH? You shouldn't even think about it.
