It finished before 2 am which is normal for a Stage 3. I doubt anyone got to the final. While that's usually the case we can't exactly rule anything out.. Do we know what time they started because they might have started early. And maybe Stages 1 and 2 had bad results and they managed to get through Stages 2 and 3 fast. Although I doubt it's likely theres a Final Stage considering it went until 4 am for 22 which was the first time using the Shin Sasuke Final Stage and they had to test and test and test.. I'm just being hopeful

I think 25 ended around 2am too and we all know what happened there so.... unless the UCH just owns everyone again.

This could be another one of those times where we don't see the final for awhile while the UCH kills everyone...
again!

I'll be mega depressed if no one even gets deep into the UCH and its just all fails like 25.

Usually when theres a finalist it goes beyond 2am unless someone can say otherwise. So if it offiially did end before that time then clearly gives that away. Remember 24? Enchi said it was till 4am and there was 5 finalists.

I'll be mega depressed if no one even gets deep into the UCH and its just all fails like 25. It could very well be the case, especially if they make stages 1 and 2 harder. It also depends who makes it to the UCH- I think nly a couple of people would even have a chance on it as things stand.

I think it'll be even more depressing if stages 1 and 2 become harder that NO ONE makes to the 3rd stage and we have another Sasuke 19.

With ratings the way they are they wouldn't do that.. And also they booked a new years day special and the last one of those we had was 6 hours.. I'm thinking we don't have to worry that much. Also heres hoping a good competitor got through, beat the UCH and is going to help us figure out what's going on with the final stage (and finally give us names for those last 3 obstacles )

I doubt they made any changes to Stage 2. That stage doesn't need to be any harder than it is.
As for Stage 1, we'll see who gets tripped up with the return of the Shin-Sasuke obstacles and whatever new they decide to throw in.
My hope is that we see alot of quality athletes/contenders get a shot this tourney to better the odds of a deep Stage 3 run or for a shot at the final stage.

I dont think there will be another "sasuke 19" because there are much more younger and more elite competitor than there were in 19. (Yuuji, Koji, Kanno, ect)

I agree. It look like as of now that the toughest obstacles in stages 1 and 2 are all ones people have experience with from shin-sasuke or the renewal (jumping spider, half pipe attack, d salmon ladder). 19 was really nasty because the vast majority of the toughest obstacles were really new and not modified to be easier yet, especially the salmon ladder (as far as new goes) and the jumping spider. This time around, unless they put up a several new obstacles to rival js's difficulty (which I don't see happeneing because m9 doesn't want to repeat sasuke 19 either), I don't see there being another sasuke 19 situation. As stated above as well by Yoda, there is a new generation of great (and most important;y, consistant) compeitiors.

I think the first stage needs to have at least 10 clears. I don't know why they're risking another 18, 19, 20, or 22 by reverting back to the much harder first stage.
And I wouldn't rule out another 19 especially since a single, miscalculated obstacle can spell disaster.
Again, the only way I can reason through this huge change is if they were intending for 25's first stage to be a one-time special treat.

^I agree. The older sasuke stages were easy first->medium second->incredibly hard third
Instead, in shin sasuke, it was nearly the other way around. I also think that 25's second stage was great. Lots of people attempted it, and so we had mixed results. It was a lot of fun to watch 25's second stage.

I could see them making the drastic change due to horrible ratings but I think 25's first stage was planned to be a one time deal. I think they wanted a blast from the past kinda thing going on, each stage advancing in time to the present. Stage 1: Old sasuke format. Old obstacles, old green mats. Stage 2: Shin-sasuke format. Virtaully the same as sasuke 24 Stage 3: Completely new stage three

I'm really hoping for the return of the Muscle Musical stars (Komiya, Iketani, and yes, even Sato). To me they were a key element that was missing from Sasuke 25.
