After seeing 25's UCH, im sure the first thing many of us thought after the shock was, "Man, that thing is ugly." What were some of your favorite obstacles when it comes to being aesthetically pleasing (and try not to be biased about how good or bad it is performance wise)? There were definitely many obstacles that just plain looked nice. Here is my list of favorites.
Pre shin-sasuke wall lift. - It's a pretty nice obstacle to look at but I particularly like when the walls had the roman numerals and the metal-like paint job on it rather than just looking like bare wood. The walls looked a lot more threatening. Curtain Cling- This might have been a relative thing. It was an elegant piece of cloth to a huge playground of metal haha.
Flame-style half pipe attack- I dont know which tournament m9 decided to paint it but it looked awesome!

This is an interesting topic. Personally, I like the obstacles to have a "finished" look- which is pretty hard considering the entire set has to be assembled and disassembled in a few short weeks. As a result, the obstacles aren't the most well built things- but I have to agree with you on 19's Halfpipe Attck and the Wall Lift with the big Roman Numerals. I also like the Chain Reaction especially with the Gothic style church and stained glass window in the background.

Going to agree with you guys on the 19 HPA.. I dunno.. Maybe because of This but whatever.. Do you mean like well decorated or you mean like fun to watch? Because some obstacles look as undecorated as possible but are fun to watch (For example, Rope Glider, Curtain Slider, Both the "Reverse" obstacles from 16, Jumping Bars/Rings, SCH, And how Tajima attempted the Rope Junction to name some examples of fun to watch obstacles that don't have much visually going while stationary. And ironically a good amount of those are "Meh" as being obstacles XD ) Now if you mean just designed cool looking without being attempted I'd have to change that list completely XD

1. The Maruta Kudari/Free Climbing looked pretty nice to me (the fact that I love that kind of stuff may have influenced that decision ) 2 The juunidantoibi looked pretty cool to me, not quite sure why but I think it was because of the log finish. 3. The s. kabe, especially the 18-24 version and 25 version, looked pretty nice IMO and I thought that the stripe looked very nice (although it lost some of it's shine when it got worn out IMO ) BTW I was about to tell Rider not to make that "pattern coincidence" thing AGAIN (he did it to me on my first thread too ). Sorry Rider, not funny anymore .

Devil Steps -- One of the better looking obstacles of the Third Stage for me.

Stage 1: Globe grasp, log grip, HPA (19), Warped Wall, Flying Chute, Reverse Fly, Jumping Spider, Flying Chute
Stage 2: Spider Walk, Hammer Dodge (come on, that was just fun to look at), salmon ladder, wall lift, metal spin
Stage 3: Globe Grasp, Curtain Cling, Devil Steps
Final stage: Spider Climb

I really liked the look of the Unstable Bridge in 23.
It just seemed impossible and looked strange but awesome.
I also gotta say that the Halfpipe Attack in 19 looked nice.

Yes Rider I do mean obstacles that are nice to look at rather than fun to watch someone attempt. Yeah I actually agree with you guys the s-kabe does look better with the stripe. I preferred the red one though personally. Though many are not so nice looking because of lack of finishing (who can blame them?) some are really nice in their simplicity like the devil steps. Also, it doesn't count as an obstacle, but I agree with jfeathe I really like how they have decorated the second stage before. It's just a great combo between the gothic-style decorations on the frame, the darkness at that time in the tournament, and the fire. The first time I saw that on youtube before I knew what sasuke was I was like "Wow. The second stage is pretty scary without the obstacles." Haha

I must have missed when the Globe Grasp was in Stage 1.......
anyway, 19's HPA was good, that's unanimous. I liked 13's Jump Hang. Then there's the Jyunidantobi, the Reverses, the Narrow(and pretty much all of the second stage), Rumbling Dice, Pipe Slider, and Hang Climbing I would say look good.

I forgot opinions can be wrong. My bad. lol He wasn't criticizing your opinion, he's pointing out you put Globe Grasp under Stage 1. You also put Flying Chute twice under Stage 1 too.

I get that you guys like to be official with your obstacle names, but I don't know half the obstacles you guys are saying, and I can't be the only one here. I mean, we are on an english board, you should use the english wording of the obstacle.
Just saying.
And I have to go with the Hammer Dodge. It's so cool.

I mean, we are on an english board, you should use the english wording of the obstacle. I guess English should be the official language of the US too right? This forum is called Sasuke Maniacs, but since the English version is called Ninja Warrior the name should change right? It's the real name of the obstacles, if you don't know which someone is talking about, we have a Wiki, use it.

First of all, why the hell did you mention USA? This board is english, there's other countries that speak english, so it's fair that this is an "English board." Secondly I'm not talking about G4 either. I'm talking english, you guys are just using the Romanization word. They are still in Japanese. Just because you use Latin characters, doesn't mean it's in English. It would be nice to use the english wording, simply because it's an english board, and more people will understand it. I'm not saying it's a must, I just don't understand why we must use Japanese names when we are, infact, an english board, and there's an english name for every single obstacle.
