So, a simple question, but important. Is Sasuke 21 your favorite tournament since Sasuke 17?
In my opinion, it is. It had just about everything. The right amount of drama, success, All-Star dominance, and amazing moments in general.

I'm probably in the minority with 19 being one of my favourite tournaments (most drama out of any), but I think I'd put 21 ahead of it.

It's my favorite as well, because of the reasons scnoi mentioned. About the only thing that was missing was a failed Final Stage attempt, haha. As far as post-17 tournaments go, I'd rank them 21, 18, 19, 20, from best to worst. Roughly from most clears to least clears, but for some reason (probably the drama thing) I liked 19 better than 20. Maybe the "will any of the All-Stars clear" thing was part of it too.

21 was the best for me, 18 is a close second cuz i love the great wall and rope glider, 20 sucked and 19 was decent

My order would be
21: First japanese broadcast, totally awesome.
19: First broadcast live (Though through G4) tons of Drama and it was so heartbreaking, but SOO great >_>
Next is kind of hard.. 20 probably would've been a good tournament, except Rider spoiled everything, so it was technically the worst tournament I've ever seen...
So I guess...
18: New obstacles, d/q finish, awesome.
20: The entire thing was spoiled for me and to this day it affects me whenever I watch Sasuke copmetitions. (Thanks Rider!)

I must say that 19 is a guilty pleasure for me as well Its the most atmosphere in a first stage ever in my opioion. The emotion in the crowd particularly with the last 10 or so really made it for me. As well as the heartbreaking end. After that I would say 21 again because it was more like the sasuke I was used to multipule stage one clears. A proper stage 2 and a stage 3 packed with drama.
Than 18 for exactly the same reason sas thgiladab new obsticles !
20 was the most disappionting because it was only levi in stage 3 but I still enjoyed it

well, 21 is not my favorite tournament since the course re-design in 18... 'cause... 18 it self is my favorite. or wait... was it.. 4? or.. yeah 4 is absolute classic, but to tell you the truth I only watch Modern Sasuke now for some reason. and the biggest reason why 18 delivers the most for me is how much we don't know about the massive course all fresh and ready to attack. I mean we all know the outcome of sasuke 18 and how the course would change, but in the minds of everybody to the "live in the now" of 18, nobody knew much about it or exactly how to beat it.

I honestly like all the Shin Sasuke tournaments, They each have their own metaphorical meaning that work together.
Sasuke 18: The course has been beaten and a new era has started, the course has tough new obstacles never seen before, yet still 3 make it to the third stage yet all fail a minorly yet deviously modified version of an obstacle, the birth of the Shin Cliffhanger. Sasuke 19: The course undergoes a furthur evolution and becomes tougher than ever before, not until the 79th competitor did anyone pass and only one more after that, first time ever the second stage is never cleared and both competitors fail the second obstacle. Proving the course is more serious then ever and while it gets harder you don't get better unless you try, truely a humbling event. Sasuke 20: Barely a change to the course but minor differences, someone clears still during the day then two more clear, including a newcomer who comes and passes stage one on his first try, Stage 2, two out of 3 runs people fail obstacles thought unfailable humbling the competitors more, the new competitor makes it to stage 3, but the Shin Cliffhanger retains dominance. Sasuke 21: The competitors have stepped up their game, 9 to stage 2, the Stick Slider problem has been fixed, and 3 make it to stage 3, and both attempts on the Shin Cliffhanger are successful, the new obstacles have been seen leaving no secrets in the third stage, The Final Stage still eludes the competitors. Who knows what Sasuke 22 will bring, will it be better or worse than the past tournaments? Hopes for the Final Stage reign high, but we still however have to wait and see.

19 sucked IMO. So many competitors failed the first stage and only 2 guys passed and they both failed the Salmon Ladder. How can that be exciting?
21 is the best since 17 and not just because it was my first 'live' Sasuke event. 20 was OK and I did like 18 becuas eof the new design and seeing 3 of my favorites get to the new Cliffhanger.
Hopefully we'll be saying 22 is the best after Nagano becomes a 2-time Sasuke champion. OK, wishful thinking.

I agree. As I said earlier, the reason why I watch Sasuke is the fails. Watching the last 10 people in stage 1 of Sasuke 19 is extremely enjoyable, for that reason.

21 is my fave overall a good balance of fails and clears plus all of the 3rd stage now seen in action.
The other 3 I not really sure of the order - 18 is epic seeing the whole new course for first time etc
20 has its moments and levis run, and at least someone gets to stage 3 lol.
19 i guess coz you see the least of the course but for drama its epic! The reaction when Nagano fails thr flying cute is one of those moments where you just knew the 2 clearers were doomed in st2, the morale was killed by Naganos fall.

And for Washimi, it sunk even further when Koji couldn't get up the Salmon Ladder. The poor guy was a wreck by the time it was his turn.
Thinking about it, I'd have to say I enjoy 21, 18, 19 and 20 in that order as well. I guess fails and passes should be well-balanced. I hope for maybe a few more passes next time, but overall I was happy with 21 (Olivia Munn aside....).

22 was the best IMO. Five relatively unknowns clear. All the All Stars fail for drama. The Second Stage is Pwned! Yuuji comes within feet of Kanzenseiha. A Perfect Sasuke.
19 left me shocked when I watched it. The drama made it amazing.
21 had alot clears but the first stage bored me.
18 was epic because so many veterans failed Stage One. New Obstacles were great
20 was kinda longish. Didn't really liked it
