I always though it would be cool if they could do some simple UB events. ANW was "Live" when I saw it, it took them a while to reset it, but that's G4. Not to mention they only had to reset the Rope Swing and the F-Bridge. I can't imagine what a pain in the a** it is to reset the Log Grip and Rolling Log. (I keep calling it Barrel Cling wtf)
Hoooowwwever, like I said, a simple UB event or something live, would be pretty damn cool imo.

Yeah, you'd be watching all day, which would only be cool...if you're actually at the site. At home? I'd stick to the edited version.

At first I kind of liked the idea because no waiting a month to edit it.. Then I realized how much that would suck.. It'd take literally all day to watch (Which wouldn't be bad if you were actually there but that's a whole different experience) and we wouldn't have all the music and stuff.. I mean sure we'd see all 100 competitors and any re-runs that are done but mentioning that made me realize something.. In 23 didn't it take them like 45 minutes to fix the Slider Jump and for Nagano to rest and all like that? I mean it was day during run 1 and it was pitch black at during run 2 so yeah... Sounds cool at first but it'd probably be boring..

And they would have to format the course, so pretty much no obstacles would need to require resetting, which is possible, I mean the Steps, Jump Hang, Warped Wall, there's plenty of obstacles to choose from. I don't see how this can all happen in a matter of 4-6 hours live. But it just ads stress to everbody, there's no point in having it live really, but it isn't impossible to fit it in 4-6 hours. But what do I know...

Because they have to cut it for the situation.. I mean Yagyu-Gaiden, Established competitor themes, Stage themes.. But new competitor gets a theme or someone who didn't need a theme earns one, They don't know if they'd need one AND no time to cut it.. We have Sasuke songs around 7 minutes and they use like 30 seconds.. How do you expect that live?..

Established competitor names, play a theme for each established competitor. This is also very easy. Stage themes. Yes. This is entirely possible. For a brand new competitor, just give him/her a random theme. They can do this pre-airing. I don't think your aware with the fact that we live in a day and age where music (Even clips, so like the background segments on the competitors) can be played LIVE on air.

Because they have themes for every competitor even ones who trip and fall off the ramp and don't even touch the first obstacle and they have stage 2 themes for everyone? and I guess they have Final Stage AND Kanzenseiha themes set up for everyone.. Even Aoki right? I'm not saying that they can't play music during live broadcasts.. I'm saying they don't have enough notice.. They don't even play Yagyu-Gaiden when someone clears really at Sasuke.. For a brand new competitor, just give him/her a random theme. They can do this pre-airing. You do realize with the second part of that sentence you're proving my point?.. If they watch it before it airs and edit stuff in.. IT WOULDN'T BE LIVE!!...

Not to mention if the equipment malfunctions -- not only would it make it awkward to be apart of, but then it might make the broadcast even LONGER. Plus, alternate themes for situations like Nagano. Not to mention it's just too much a hassle.

But they know all 100 that's running, and can set it all up before the taping/airing... So "Random new competitor 35" can get the "Random 35 theme."
But who cares about themes. If their going to do Sasuke live, there going to probably not have a theme for every new competitor, just the fimiliar ones.
but your right G4fan, it's too much of a hassle, but it's not impossible, and I don't think it could take all day if they tried hard enough.

Again.. They usually only give someone newish a theme if they've clear.. Before they run you won't know that.. I guess Kanno's 22 theme was going to be played for him anyways because he failed the Jumping Spider before.. I guess Yuuji got a Stage 2 theme because they knew someone who failed the Flying Chute before was making the Final Stage.. I guess Kawaguchi Tomohiro got a theme because they knew someone who's best result was failing the Slider Jump was going to clear stage 1. Right?.. I guess they decided to give Richard King a theme and show his full run no matter how he was going to do in 23 even if he failed the Junidantobi right?....
Your logic is seriously flawed JP..

I don't even know what your talking about. Why is their so much rules and s**t with the themes. Who cares about the themes. I know you do, but I don't. And if their going to do a live broadcast, I don't think a new contestants theme is the first thing on their mind. But fine, let's say they can't do... whatever it is your saying. Than whatever. They don't have a theme for the newbie. Oh well.

I couldn't stand to watch from morning to past midnight. It would be torture.

I could certainly do it if i was there and able to interact with some of the people there. That would be a once in a lifetime experience that would be hard for me to pass up. To see it on TV like that however, somehow that feeling is gone and it just wouldn't work.

I've watched the LOTR trilogy from start to finish (extended versions) so I don't think I'd have a problem with this personally.
Though my preference should be obvious.

I voted yes because I'd like to see it live (in person). Though if it was an option BETWEEN the TBS version and watching it raw.. I'd pick TBS version but I would be interested in seeing everything. You would see all the contestants as well. They had a 5 hour live broadcast of that beach thingie in Miyazaki a couple years ago I would love to watch.. live TV has it's own quirks that I like.. not sure how it would translate without being there in Sasuke.. but it would be neat to see if given the opportunity.

I said yes. It wouldn't be impossible to do. BUT as sheep said the best thing would be to have the possibility to interact with the people there. Otherwise it wouldn't really feel like a live broadcast, it would be just a very, veeery long regular one. Well, actually the best thing would be to BE there, but I guess there was no need to say it really...
