Sasuke 26 is getting closer everyday. We may not know the date but we know there will be one.
I'm looking forward to new obstacles and New Stars and All Stars tearing through the course. Hashimoto, Okuyama, Kongu, and Lee Enchi have a score to settle with the UCH.
SO what are you looking forward to the most?

Wait, its confirmed?
What Im I looking foward to the most?
- Bunpei competing and getting to the 3d stage. - Winning a bet against Badalight that somebody will clear the UCH. - Having the airdate be on a weekend or no school day. - Kongu and Okuyama getting far. - Kanno getting the furthest of the New Stars. - At least 3 All Stars at Stage 2. - All Star having the best result.

I'm looking forward to the changes they will make to the course. I think some of the obstacles worked while others didn't and I'm really looking forward to what the new course is like, the First Stage in particular. I'm hoping for a course that is tough, but also gives average joes a shot at going deep, so there are so many deaths in the first three obstacles.

It was confirmed awhile back iirc. -Im looking forward to the changes on the course compared to 25 -Seeing if the spider climb comes back(goes with above) -As well as seeing if the rolling log goes away -Seeing if I am right that the UCH will get beaten in 26. I didn't bet anyone but I do think it will get beaten unless all the top competitors crap out before stage 3 somehow. -Seeing what Yuuji can do in stage 3 Theres more along the lines of competitors results but all in all I just can't wait for 26, really lookingforward to it.

Unless I missed something they didn't confirm 26, they just said they didn't have any immediate plans to cancel the show. That isn't the same thing...
With that said, what i'm looking forward to much is knowing for sure its going to happen.

With that said, what i'm looking forward to much is knowing for sure its going to happen. I think we're all going off that if they wanted to cancel Sasuke after their abysmal rating in 25, they would have done so already, I also feel some are going off of G4 promoting ANW2 as another contest to reach Japan. As much as most hate G4 handling of certain things, the fact they are still promoting ANW as a way to reach Japan pretty much confirms a Sasuke 26. Yes, it's not M9 announcing confirmation, but it'll do for now.

Well i dont think Kunoichi was officially cancelled but do any of us think that one is coming back?
Anyway back on topic: I hope to see the old format of a lot of comedians and where the #s make sense, i'd like to see if they fix that.

What tweaks they make to stage 1 Also seeing Nagano and hoping he crushes that stupid UCH. Also im hoping with every fibre we see someone on the jumping pipe final obstacle in stage 3 its just too awesome. I personally want the JS back in stage 1 too.

I would love to see some Spider-Walking again, but not necessarily the Jumping Spider. Perhaps a Spider-Walk with a gap and a drop.
I want to see both Yuuji and Nagano take on the 3rd Stage as leaders of their respective groups. (Memory might be wrong on this, but I don't think we've ever seen both of them get that far in the same tournament.)
I want Brian Orosco to continue his streak of getting further in the tournament each time out. And Kongu to continue his streak of 3rd stage appearances.
And for the wishful thinking department - take out the Log Grip, add back in that sideways trampoline that almost broke Takeda's a**.

LOL yeah his flight on the Reverse Fly was epic. Wishlist: the Log Grip biting dust, and some form of Spider Walking back in stage one, not a too difficult obstacle tho. But the overall difficulty of Stage 1 should increase by just a tiny shot. Oh, and the Circle Slider should be slightly lower, IMO. Massive Stage 2 changes, but not making it a boring and difficult one, like, most people failing in the first half. Wanna see it challenging but not impossible. Stage 3...make it harder after the UL-CLI. The obstacles after it seem - no, I'm not going to say easy. They would kick my a** anyway- to need to be improved. Sure, the obstacles before drain you, but once people master the UL-CLI we're going to see people coming really close to the end, if not beating it. EDIT: WOAH!!! I forgot an important thing...BUNPEEEIIIII PLEASE COME BACK!!!!And if he absolutely can't compete because of his health (get better soon ) at least TBS give him mroe airtime...I miss him so much. as for competitors, I want to see Brian and Levi at least attempting the UL-CLI, Kenjiro Ishimaru coming back and kicking a**. More comedians - both for ratings and for fun. Even if I couldn't understand wtf they were saying, a couple of comedians in 24 and 23 made me ROFL. Then I REALLY want to see a nice (but not massive) number of both New and All Stars passing Stage one, but only few reaching stage 3. Wanna see Akiyama beating at least Stage 1 Takeda, Nagano and Shingo reaching Stage 3 along with Yuuji, Lee, Kenji and Okuyama. Nagano going the furthest and beating the UL-CLI, the All Stars in general kicking a**.

I want to see Yamada back. Actually, I'd like to see all 6 of the All-Stars compete. That hasn't happened since Sasuke 17. I also want Shingo and Yamada to go really far into the course. I know they can do it!

I would say that Yamada would come back. I mean he has threatened to leave several times and has come back anyways. This time I think he is for real

Wow, I'm surprised nobody has said that they're hoping for at least a few people on here get to Sasuke 26 via ANW2 or other means and kick the crap out of the course. That would be awesome to see. Other wishes for Sasuke 26: -only 1 "log" obstacle in Stage 1 -a Stage 1 that's still similar in difficulty to how it was in 25, or at the most slightly harder (same for Stage 2) -the replacement and/or modification of some of the obstacles in Stages 1 and 2 that will make each of these stages a tad more difficult -a similar (if not identical) Stage 3 as 25's was -new obstacles in each of the first 3 stage (mine included ;D ) -Mr. Octopus achieving Kanzenseiha getting past the first obstacle -about 15 passing Stage 1 (I don't want everyone passing it, though I'd like some familiar faces doing so as well as perhaps a few new faces, i.e. people from ANW2, Ryo a.k.a. UNCLI #2, etc.), give or take a few; these include the following (though I'd like to see a few of them failing Stage 1): 1) Makoto Nagano 2) Toshihiro Takeda 3) Shingo Yamamoto 4) Yuuji Urushihara 5) Levi Meeuwenberg 6) Jun Sato 7) Brian Orosco 8) Li En Zhi 9) Kenji Takahashi 10) Yoshiyuki Okuyama 11) Naoya Tajima 12) Hitoshi Kanno 13) Koji Hashimoto 14 & 15) ANW2 reps/Ryo/past competitors/other misc. people -about 10 of the people who passed Stage 1 also passing Stage 2; who I especially want to do so: 1) Nagano 2) Takeda 3) Yamamoto 4) Urushihara 5) Li 6) Brian 7) Takahashi 8) Okuyama 9) one of the other people that I mentioned (doesn't matter who) 10) some newcomer -in Stage 3, fails spread throughout the entire stage (i.e. I don't want like 8 UCH fails); 2 or 3 pre-UCH fails, 5 or 6 UCH fails, with them occurring at different parts of it UCH (i.e. I don't want everyone failing on the first 2 ledges); 1 or 2 UCH clears (specifically, Yuuji and Nagano) but with both of them failing the final obstacle (though Nagano would go farther on it) -no Final Stage...yet -a new way of selecting starting position numbers (I'll admit that the lottery was better than I thought it would be, though I'd like to see most of the better competitors to at least be in the second half) -it to be on some day that I'll actually be able to watch it live for once -for Sasuke 26 to be officially announced soon, of course Wow, that was my longest post in a while.

This looks more to be a wishlist thread than an excitement one.
But anyways what I want to see:
- Hope Shingo doesn't make any stupid mistakes(he'll still make mistakes, just not stupid ones) - Wanna see some more old favorites from the earlier competitions (C'monnnnnnnnnn Hasegawa) - Nagano regains his glory - Already been said but 26 needs some spider walking in some form (doesn't seem like Sasuke without it) - Someone can't beat Cliff Hanger yet. >=)

Heh yes. However, it's pretty difficult to be excited when you're still several months away and it's hasn't been announced yet. One thing I'm looking forward to is understanding how this era will feel like when I watch it. The first tournament of an era always feels "different"...but I wonder if the rest of the Fourth Era will feel similar to pre-17 or not. Stage 1 does, for me. Oh and despite the fact that A- M9 hasn't taken out the foreigner block yet and B- I have no heck idea where I'd take the money from to get there, I still have that tiny inch of hope that I'll manage to compete

Sasuke is a competition for some, but I never view it as a thing where if you retire you can never ever come back again. I would just hope for Yamada that if he did ever come back that he at least clear the first stage. But that Warped Wall isn't any shorter, and if he can't clear that, then I have NO IDEA how he'd beat the Circle Slider.

Yamada beat the Circle Slider easily in 17. And he has shown that he can move fast enough to beat stage 1. I really don't see him having a problem in stage 1 except for the Warped Wall. If he can clear that on his first or second try, he can beat the stage.

I guess I'm most looking forward to the usual suspects getting another crack at the UCH, and to see how the AllStars (or the remaining AllStars) do this time around.
Wish lists are a different matter...and might be a good subject for a separate thread, but work's calling right now. Anybody else feel free to start one.

I'm looking forward to a small change to the first stage, which to me seems pretty likely. I'm at least hoping they don't have two log obstacles again. I'm also looking foward to the third stage. It's probably the hardest third stage ever, and I'm hoping they didn't make any obstacles easier, because I feel that some have a good shot at going deep into the stage provided they clear the UCH. And I'm also looking forward to ANW2. I can't wait to see who win and take on the course.
