Who here remembers Fear Factor? Man, I loved that show.
Theme Song (extended):
For those who don't know/remember Fear Factor was a game/reality show produced by Endemol USA (Wipeout, Deal or No Deal, Big Brother) where people faced some of their worst fears. And man was it awesome.
I was going to write this big long description of my thoughts of the show, but I decided to leave the topic open to see what you guys remember/know about the show.
Plus, it gives us a legitimate chance to talk about balls!

It was a show with an awesome takeoff, an awesome flight, and a terrible landing. Fear Factor will always be one of my favorite shows in my heart, but it didn't really have that awesome a farewell. Sometimes I wish they'd do a yearly Fear Factor special just for kicks.
Oh, and El Cool Magnifico > All

I remember fear factor. I used to watch it a lot. It was on spike I think. When did they stop showing it??
I remember the challenges stuff lol they had to eat bugs and stuff.
My favorite memory of the show was when they had a challenge that they had to eat some disgusting food (I forgot what it was) So one of the guys actually ate that food every day and loved it, and he was confident he would win. So they all eating and throwing up except for him lol. He ends up coming in SECOND cause he was having so much fun and wasting so much time saying YUMMMMMMMMMMMY. lmao

It's still airing on GXT here (same channel that airs Ninja Warrior). I think I watched an episode once...they were eating scorpions, IIRC. Had to switch channel before my mom realized what was going on lol.

Ah yes, I remember Fear Factor. It was a pretty popular show when it was on (i.e. in the early 2000s IIRC) and definitely had some very interesting, frightening, and disgusting moments throughout its history. Eating roadkill/bugs/other sick stuff, being slowly submerged into water while trying to free yourself, being put in an enclosed tank with a bunch of snakes or something else that freaks the majority of people out, traversing something really high in the air, and many other phobia-tackling situations led to some very memorable moments that were great to watch. And even when the people knew that they were in no real danger (ex.: snakes were de-venomized; safety harnesses saved you from falling to your death; sick food was made safe to consume; divers were always standing by in case you wanted to back out of a water challenge; etc.), they were still often scared out of doing stuff, which just goes to show that some fears can't be conquered even if nothing bad can happen and you have a 1/6 chance of winning $50,000 or whatever the prize money was on that show. With this being true, it's one of the few shows that I can think of in which the psychological aspects of what you have to do is nearly always greater than the physical parts, which made it something out of the ordinary (and therefore better to watch IMO) than a game show like Wipeout. Too bad it's not on TV anymore (I can't recall many specific things about the show since it was in its prime when I was a preteen), and in fact I don't even remember the last time I saw a rerun of one of its episodes. Also, what is the host of Fear Factor (Joe something) up to these days? Because I haven't seen him in any media since then.

I remember this random episode of Fear Factor where competitors had to endure getting needles put through their arms (don't remember how many though) and when they took the needles out they were bleeding. It was pretty painful to watch and I thought, now THAT is some true fear.

They had one stunt where you had to swim through a tank of small (and I mean 2-3 foot) alligators. I'm sorry, I don't care how many divers you got in there, I ain't swimming in it. My name's not lunch.
