Which first stage is your favorite? Mine would have to be the current one in sasuke 19-20 definitely got alot more fun with the recent more harder obstacles.

13, definitely. The Prism Tilt is a good jumping/balance obstacle with visual appeal to begin Stage One. Plus, the introduction of the Bridge of Blades (Cross Bridge) and the Crooked Wall created a new-ish First Stage feel.
Above all that, they re-colored the First Stage, covering the "in-bounds area" in black! This was a great improvement over previous colors for the First Stage, and is on par with the intimidatingly red color of the First Stage of the most recent four tournments (oh noes, incredibly trivial spoiler~).

I'm with captainobvious on this one. I liked the Prism Tilt as well, and the addition of the Crooked Wall made things fun too (incidentally, the Japanese wiki says that the Half-Pipe Attack evolved from this obstacle, cool, eh?). I also liked the rope edition of the Jump Hang more than the normal one.

I loved 16, mostly for the Rope Reverse/ Reverse Fly combo. Nasty crash for Takeda on that one, but it still looked like a lot of fun. And then you had old favorites like the Jump Hang and old Warped Wall. Fun, Fun, Fun.

17's Stage 1 setup was great IMO. It had several Sasuke iconic obstacles such as the Sextuple Step, Rolling Log, Jump Hang, and Warped Wall, as well as the addition of a great new obstacle: the Circle Slider. Also, this was the last time that we would ever see some of these obstacles (i.e. Jump Hang, Rolling Log, which had become staples for Stage 1) before being replaced by new ones in the next tournament due to Nagano's Kanzenseiha/course redesign (i.e. Jumping Spider, Log Grip). I also believe that unlike the earlier tournaments (20+ clears) or Shin-Sasuke tournaments (only a few clears), 17's First Stage was of nearly perfect difficulty, as 11 competitors were able to pass it. After watching it on G4 just recently, these and other things make Sasuke 17's Stage 1 probably the best one that this show's ever had. In other words (and by this, I mean if you didn't feel like reading and/or understanding what I wrote), SASUKE 17 STAGE 1 RULED!!! ;D
