I would have to say the doorknob grasper is my least favorite obstacle ever. The shoulder walk comes close and both are rediculously increative to me.

No one's mentioned the Plank Bridge? Nobody? Guess we're all fans of pirates

The Pole Vault at the beginning of stage 3 was pretty uncreative, even if someone failed it. =/

To hell with it. Wall Lifting. I'd be more impressed if they bashed through the walls. Now there's an obstacle.
Creativity wise, I give the UCH 2 big thumbs up.

Some might dislike the Arm Bike but I think it's cool.

It seems like a lot of you are confusing "Uncreative" with "Bad". Just because the obstacle wasn't good doesn't mean some creativity didn't go into it. And just because an obstacle is good doesn't mean that it's creative.
Since we're talking about uncreative obstacles, I have the definitive example of lack in creativity.
The Rapid Descent.
Think about. All they did was take the Barrel Climb and turn it around. There was no thought process at all!

I agree with you. The obstacles from 1-4 is just horrible. The Hammer Dodge. 5 HUGE SWINGING hammers. Plain uncreative but cool to watch.

Think about. All they did was take the Barrel Climb and turn it aboud. There was no thought process at all! In my defense, Swing Ladder was both bad and uncreative. Meh. I imagine the whole Maruta Kudari/Rapid Descent situation went like this. Higuchi: "Finally, we're done making our 1st Stage." Random Female Worker: "Uh sir, there's only seven obstacles, our quota is eight." Higuchi: "You just like making my job difficult, don't you?" RFW: "No, sir I-" Higuchi: "Quiet." "Guess it's back to the drawing board..." *Three hours and a tree and a half worths of paper balls later* Higuchi: "Face it." "Nothing will work, it's either too complicated or too easy. I mean come on, a bridge that rotates with slabs hanging from it? No one will get past that!" *Throws it out* "Let's just go home and start again tomorrow." Random Male Worker: "WAIT! I got it! The perfect obstacle!" *Turns the 1st obstacle around* Higuchi: "........IT'S GENIUS!" "Why didn't we think about this before?" "PROMOTIONS AND SAKI FOR EVERYONE" *Massive cheers* Higuchi: "What's your name?" RMW: "Uh...Wataru Ogasawara.....we met 2 months ago" Higuchi: "That doesn't matter now." "Just wait, even if it takes 8 years, you're going to the top" *Maruta Kudari put in place and Ogasawara becomes announcer 8 years later* Ogasawara: "Huh, he was right." *Doesn't notice someone failing* Yeah, I'm bored...I found it funny

I agree about the swinging hammers. Not a lot of originality there nor is it really a test or physical ability, just kind of a balance. Not necessarily a test of what it takes to be a ninja.

You all fail horribly. The worst offender of all is so obvious that you've missed it: the Sky Walk.
You may resume your arguments now.

lol Captain Obvious is probably right. If we were to see someone in Sasuke 19 make it to the Cliffhanger it would have been the most repetitive thing in Sasuke history. Even more repetitive than Takeda failing in the the third stage.

Why do people hate Sasuke 16's obstacles. Both of those obstacles are fun, but they are creative. When have you ever seen anything like either of those obstacles? They're unique to Sasuke.
But an obstacle like the Swing Ladder? The same can't be said for that.
