Have you seen how he did the dantobi obstacles before the Dome Steps? He pretty much just stepped across them pretty low.. you can't do that on the domes so he probably tried to readjust and that was against the rules so re-run

Watching Nagano get stuck in the middle of the Log Grip Did that happen? Yes. Sasuke 18. Was told by someone who was there and saw the whole thing. I mentioned this earlier in the thread but I think it has to be repeated. Even Nagano almost fell off the steps.. it was pitched more than usual. It also goes to show that people got "used" to the steps so when they saw it they automatically thought it was going to be the same. So M9 threw a wrench in it and .. well.. you know the rest.

I'd like to know why Levi even needed to use his hands to pass that. A pro free runner can't pass some curved steps using just his feet? Well I'm sure he could've (and did) pass it without using his hands, but if you thought you could use your hands, you might as well do it I guess because it's safer.

I feel like one of us should take the liberty to ask him or Brian if there is any truth to this. I would, but that wall of text would most definitely be intimidating to answer. I already talked to him about his second stage run.

What surprises me most is that dantobi obstacles are just like easier re-iterated versions of the tictac, a fundamental PK movement. As a pro freerunner, this sort of obstacle should be child's play for him. Very poor form, Mr Meeuwenberg: I am not impressed.

You don't even know what happened really, anyone can slip or trip anywhere at any time. How often have you just been walking down the street and totally tripped? s*** happens, you know?

I texted Levi earlier and asked him about it. He said it's true that it happened, and that it was probably a combination of the fact that his ankle was weak from a sprain (probably why he didn't flip) and the domes are a liitle different from the old steps in the technique they require. So he touched the dome with his hand to steady himself.
I recently built a replica of the steps and one of the first 10 or so runs at it my foot just slipped a little and my other foot his the ground (fail). Granted I wasn't 100 focused because I was just practicing, I still stopped and was like "crap! that would SUCK! ....take nothing for granted, take nothing for granted"

Did he eve get past the steps before they told him to stop? My question for Levi that he didn't answer was if the guy before him (Aoki.. the creepy sculptor guy) wore his number and took it off for Levi since Levi got a 2nd number and Aoki was cut from the broadcast). I mean it's not "major" but curiosity is what is prompting the question. Would make sense if Aoki was cut because the 2nd person with #48 passed the first stage while we all know Aoki failed

Yeah, it came out a little meaner than I'd intended it. Just meant he shouldn't have had a problem is all. Bad form, but hey, we all have our bad days. I'm still just hoping I'll get the opportunity to take a crack at the course, and won't make the same mistake.

Sorry to revive an old topic, but just as added proof, Li En Zhi put up new pics of 25 and in one, you can clearly see Levi wore #39, therefore wearing 2 different numbers that day. photo.pchome.com.tw/nick1130/127666882644

Nice find, I always love the close up shots of the numbers, make me want to print off my 100 and make a picture like that

haha, that's great. Though Levi already admitted he had to re-run. Even if there was no issue there we all would have wanted that anyways.. We're called Sasuke Maniacs for a reason (I remember when everyone didn't copy that joke of mine.. XD )
