As far as TBS is concerned.. they will cut anyone irregardless of how far and how short they got. Heck.. Nagasawa was cut several times and one of them he actually timed out on the rope ladder.. I would have loved to see that!

Unless you're the first to get that far early in the broadcast or you're someone important TBS usually doesn't show time outs too often if you've noticed, Especially in tournaments with really good results. So in a tournament with 16 to stage 2, 7 to stage 3, 2 to the final stage. Do you really think TBS will show a time out of someone who won't get ratings except from people who were going to watch anyways?

Which is funny since they got Sasuke Mania footage for their Olivia reinsertion into the NW program Would be great if TBS shows Kanno's first stage from Sasuke 20 since they did Okuyama's first stage from Sasuke 19 (in Navi) that they originally cut. This is one question I've always had: Does G4 get a tape of the broadcast and edit from there or do they get the raw footage from the cameras and edit from those? Back on track: The Ultimate Cliff Hanger might be an equalizer for Yuuji and Kanno. Everything depends on that one obstacle. There was an crapload of dumb mistakes in the second stage- honestly there should have been 10 in the third stage. So, we should have already seen a Yuuji/Kanno third stage showdown.

Even if your the first to clear an obstacle, you aren't guaranteed to be shown (especially if there is a new obstacle later in the course), that's what happened to Shinji in 18 and Okuyama in 19, both made it farther, but were cut to showcase the obstacles before them which people with higher numbers failed. And Rider does have a point, in SASUKE 16 with the 16 clears, they showed 0 Soritatsu Kabe time outs, the only time no one was shown failing that obstacle in a tournament. Plus, with the course the way it is now, a Wall time up generally equals a solid minute of failed attempts, which is pretty boring after the first 3 or 4 because you know the guy isn't going to clear. Another TBS rule, unless you are an All-Star or you clear the First Stage, if you have a number in the 60s your gonna get cut or at the very least digested.

Did I ever say it was guaranteed? No.. I said that's what they usually do. And I meant first to make it to the Rope Ladder as of your likelihood of getting shown

Well Luci, Rie, and the girl who made it to the Halfpipe Attack in sasuke 22 were all shown, although there numbers were not shown. Besides that you are correct.
