Hey, they left out the americans. That's something you wanted Arsenette, so it's not like they arn't improving =) Also, even M9 skips around in their broadcast. The only thing they really need to work on still is accurate subtitles and pronunciation of names. LOL One would think Bada (chuckles) though geez they could have put them on the list of continued to stage blah blah. The inaccuracies though were glaring.. I mean.. BAD ones.. it was like someone was drunk when they thought these up.. that was just horrible.. Nagano thing.. (they showed his sons from his 10 year marriage in Sasuke 9 (BY NAME - though not G4.. only TBS and JET did this). 5. Because of the way they failed in the scheduling this time, they had to act like Kunoichi 8 actually happened before 23 during Rie's run calling her a WoNW champion. (Actually it did happen before Sasuke 23 legitimately. It was shown after Sasuke 23 in Japan but schedule wise it was first.) The ages thing was another thing that was making me wtf.. considering that they spent a lot of time stripping Kota from his title with Shunsuke Nagasaki during the 17 broadcast of Ninja Warrior.. LOL Btw I haven't seen the whole thing yet since i was out most of the weekend.. I can't imagine what else is in there but Rider.. that Ogasawara one was .. priceless...

I know that even TBS/M9 emphasized the idea of "All-Stars vs. New Stars" a good amount on their Sasuke 23 broadcast, but I honestly think that G4 went overboard with this. Sure, it's become more apparent that each group is trying to do their best to keep their group above the other, but G4 mentioned this during nearly every English narration segment. IIRC, Lee's Stage 1 and 2 runs were fast-forwarded (despite focusing on him a little in the Ninja Warrior 23 preview show), and Kenji and Okuyama's Stage 3 runs were also fast-forwarded despite both of them making it very far in. I know they can't show everybody's entire runs, but like some of you said, it seemed like more of a battle between the All-Stars and the New Stars. G4 treated it more like a battle between each group than a united battle against the course. At least the TBS broadcast focused somewhat on this idea, while G4 barely did (if they did at all). Correct if I'm wrong on this since I missed a few parts of the Ninja Warrior 23, but one other thing that annoyed me a little was that like their broadcast of 22, they only showed "Ninja Killers" and no "Warrior Wipeouts". Even when only 2 people fail a certain obstacle (Shin-Cliff Hanger in 22; Spider Flip in 23), they continue to emphasize that "(insert obstacle here) took out more competitors than any other obstacle". Not only was this done in part 5, but the rest of them as well. I know that this is a very minor thing in the G4 broadcasts, but I'm tired of seeing it for the same old things over and over again (yes G4, I get that the Jumping Spider is a "Ninja Killer" after you've said it 5+ times ). I'd like to see them focus on at least a single competitor's failure once again by switching it with "Ninja Killer" interchangably from now on. Besides, I like that better anyway. Other than my opinions on this, everyone else pretty much picked out the major flaws in Ninja Warrior 23 already. Can't wait to see what they've done with 24 next week...

I'm curious.. did they rehash more this time? I remember seeing a few things over like 5 times.. maybe it's because I was super sensitive to it looking for errors..

Yeah. There was so much wrong with that telecast I don't even know where to begin. Luckily, most of what I was gonna say has been said already.
But the biggest travesty was completely leaving the Americans out of the telecast, like they didn't even EXIST! Oh, and completely forgetting that Kota Honma was the youngest to ever clear Stage 1. Oh yeah, and I think that comedian who wiped out at the end of the "Twelve Timbers" by faceplanting into the platform should've been a Warrior Wipeout. Nice job, G4...not.
As for next week, they ought to do better because they have 6 (that's right, 6!) parts of Sasuke 24 to work with. I wanna see at least one Warrior Wipeout out of those, dammit. But I bet the final part will use a Ninja Killer just for the Final Stage alone (that's not still a spoiler, right?), much like they did for Sasuke 3.

I'm sorry to say this, but I liked the broadcast. The preview special was especially good and I didn't find that much wrong (though I am a bit weak on my competitors/Sasuke knowledge.)
Looking back on it, I really like that they separated the Americans from the other competitors. For once in 2.5 years, the broadcast actually featured the other competitors fairly withough having the Americans being featured in EVERY segment. That alone made 23 very enjoyable for me.
Oh, and also being able to understand what they said was a plus!!

Well, the subtitles aren't always accurate, as has always been the case. And okay, you like it, that's your opinion and I respect it.
I did like the preview special, I'll give it that. And I liked the extra focus on Yamamoto. But I wasn't too thrilled with the overall result (especially numbers-wise, saying that 13 cleared Stage 1 when in fact 16 cleared Stage 1). They could've at least fast-forwarded through some of the American Ninja Warriors that failed Stage 1 (and then make Sasuke 23 a 6-parter). Hopefully 24 will be better.

I agree with what Homeslice said about fast-forwarding the Americans that failed Stage 1, though I would've prefered them to do the same for their Stage 2 and 3 runs as well since they already had 2 episodes showing their full runs in ANW. Just showing that they were there at the same time as the other competitors and not just acting like their runs were done during a different time than the actual competition would've been enough for me.

I agree that they could have done another episode or 2. Fast-forwarding Stage 3 made me upset. G4 seems to either cram too much or too little. I can remember NW 20 when they made Stage 2 and 3 an entire episode. It was painful watching them stretch out 4 short runs over 30 minutes. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, you've got this. It will be very interesting to see what they do with 24. It would kill me if they fast-forwarded... ...one of the clears. I'm fine with them editing the "resting between obstacle" parts, but please G4, don't ignore the clears.

Even though I dont have G4 anymore i predict this is what they will do : They will show Hashimoto first, then Yuuji. Then they fast foward to Takeda. So im guessing they will only show 3 runs.

LOL I spent part of the morning answering PM's and such asking why G4 omitted Levi Meeuwenberg from the G4 broadcast.. LOL a) he was not the only American b) they obviously didn't care to watch ANW.. G4's got another mess in their hands.. /passing popcorn

Nothing really got to me...except for constantly calling Jun Sato the youngest to clear the first stage. Not only was he not the youngest, he wasn't even second place! Kota Honma was 16 in Sasuke 17, Shunsuke Nagasaki was 17 when he passed stage 1, and Jun Sato was 18.

They may have been reffering to Shin-Sasuke's first stage, but I digress.

Perhaps takamasa was older while still being the same age.
I.E you're older than me even though we're both 17. You were born 2 days ealier, thus older.

G4 KNEW it was called the X-Bridge, they just like the "Bridge of Blades" for the sake of consistency.
