So the Log Grip has yet agained been moved farther back into the course. It is currently the 5th obstacle.
Personally, I think it might have some sort of challenge to it (Richard King failed there) but I want a new, harder obstacle to have the fifth obstacle position.
The Log Grip just isn't hard or exciting enough to be that far back.
Thoughts?
P.S. Happy 1000th post!!

I think they are trying to avoid complex obstacles that can produce random results in stage 1 now. It definately serves that purpose.

I like its new spot. It didnt take out a whole lot but it is a strength waster. It also tests if you can pass it if you are more tired.

Its just boring to watch... I don't care about how many people failed, or how easy/hard it is, its just boring.

I doesn't really follow the "classic" 5-17 first stage pattern, but it's fine because it's tougher than before.
If they took it out, the first stage would look a bit too close to 17's first stage. It's a good place for it I think.

It's kind of weird for me for it's spot, but at the same time, it does prove itself to be a bit of a strength reducer, especially after dealing with the Rolling Maruta and Jump Hang.

Rich couldnt do it when he got a a little tired. Actually right before he started I predicted he was going to fail there.

I honestly don't care where in Stage 1 the Log Grip is as long as it's not ridiculously out of place (i.e. not the first obstacle or one of the last 2 or 3 in the stage either). As long as it stays somewhere in the middle of there, it doesn't matter since it'll most likely serve its purpose of eliminating competitors or tiring them out either way.

I actually didn't like it there. To me, it seemed boring and out of place. I realize it's harder there, but I feel they could come up with a better obstacle in that position that's more visually exciting. Or they could move it back to the second obstacle and replace the rolling log. Besides, it's meant to take out the weaker and joke competitors early imo.

If they change anything then they should leave the rolling log. Its classic.

If you think the obstacle is boring wouldn't you want it later on in stage 1? Because that way less people attempt it... meaning you wouldn't have to watch the "boring" obstacle as much.

For me it should replace the Rolling Log (so back to 2nd obstacle).

I guess I should rephrase my sentence. It's funnier early on, because then the people with no chance can fail it in epic style haha.

Either replace Log Grip with new obstacle or take it out and leave Rolling Log there.

I voted replace it by mistake, but I meant to vote that I want it near the beginning again. I want them to put the log grip in the rolling logs place, trash the rolling log altogether, and put some new, fun obstacle in the place of where the log grip currently sits.

Replace the log grip with some form of spider walking. It was an absolute disgrace that there were no spider walking obstacles in 25.

I like it just where it is. It works far better as an obstacle when it's a test of how much strength a competitor has left, than as a test of whether one can beat it with full strength. I personally really like this Stage 1 setup, and wouldn't want the obstacles to change whatsoever. At least not yet.

Personally I would really like to see them do the jumping spider to spider climb thing that was in that stick figure animated video for 25's course little over a month ago. Either that or jumping spider connected to the slider jump

Sliding Spider haha, sounds like a good new obstacle to me! At first I was thinking the traditional jumping spider then grabbing the slider bar at the end of it while still on the walls, but now with sliding spider as a name I am picturing the slider jump but you jump into the spider walls instead of the net, I like both and think one of them should be on the show.
