I think M9, if anything, should expand Muscle Park to the states. Your right Arsenette, with the popularity of Ninja Warrior here, I don't see why M9 can't cash off of it. Theres only 2 in Japan.. one of them just opened a few weeks ago.. And the real question after David's stories from MP you sure you WANT that here? XD

I'd LOVE it Only if M9 found a cheap way to do it.. they would though I doubt they'd do anything outside of Japan. I wouldn't be surprised if G4 was thinking of this since they love the stranglehold on the land of Ninja Warrior. Heck.. G4 can do it.. (shudders..)

One problem, M9 isn't getting much money. You've seen what's happened with their shows, a lot of them got canceled. I'm sure that issue has crossed the table, but the funding just wasn't there.
Now, the topic at hand, I'm all for lowering the age limit(3 years is a lot shorter than 6, in this case), but the fact of the matter is that they are stubborn corporate a*****es. I still don't see why they just don't have a Parental Consent form or something for the sub-21s. It could work.

M9 suffers from not having a strong distribution arm. TBS has in-house stuff cranks out .. M9 is an outsider in Japan. One of the rare exceptions as well. Their company is small, their budget is small and their reach is small. Brilliant in terms of ideas and whatnot but because of their outsider status within the mega-structure of television in Japan.. (or even entertainment in Japan) they will always be fighting an uphill battle.

Hell.. They had a chance of branching out outside of TBS while still keeping stuff on TBS but they kind of blew that one because of all the injuries on Viking.. Hell.. They still got 3 Sasuke and 3 Viking in one year and that's on two different channels.. imagine how much money Monster9 would have if every year was like that.. Then again the money to make all those shows and the stress they'd be under kind of evens it out to being about the same.. But still.. Now I'm just ranting again XD

I think the point you are missing and as painful as it is.. They won't listen because they have heard this argument for 2 straight years. Ever since ANC was announced you had people complaining about the age restriction given that at that time Shunsuke Nagasaki was the poster child for the 20 and under crowd who made it to the friggin' final. G4 HAS taken the time and listened and reiterated that they are firm with their 21 and over requirement for ANW. Period. If you want to have fun on a course then plead for a Ninjafest because THAT is worth exploring since a lot of even us forums people would like for that to be a regular thing. (and for the love of God not JUST California.. LOL) I just want to try a collaborative effort to ATLEAST let them have some kind of Jr. ANW or Ninjafest or something! I already know the odds against me. I know the reasons why for them not to do it. I know they don't listen. All I'm asking is for some support from Sasuke fans to make a post when we need it. If this doesn't work then no harm to you guys right? But if it does work, you will be helping a fellow fan.

Ask David Campbell. He brought this up in the G4 forums and they knocked it down since they refuse to deal with organizing a competition that has the under 21 crowd. Given that they botched having ANW for 2 straight tournaments (24/25).. the last thing they are going to do is to divert financial resources to create what essentially amounts to as a glorified NinjaFest given that they have no intention of sending anyone under 21 irregardless of actual physical potential. I know this is really difficult to swallow but at this point it's time people let go of this. This horse has been beaten to death.

This horse has been beaten to death. 2 Chronicles 15:7 "But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded." Luke 18:1-4 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.' "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!'

Definition of insanity: Continuing an action expecting a different result. Im sorry if I made you upset in any way Arsenette. I love reading your blogs and see your posts as insider knowledge. When I read your bio a year ago, you had a post on there that said you were depressed a while back and that you felt isolated. Then you ran into the footprints picture and it helped you feel better. I thought some words from the same man would help you see what I'm going through. I feel isolated right now. Almost everyone here is against me telling me I should just give up and I'm a fool for even trying. I thank you for your words of advice, but I'm going to keep trying no matter what anyone says. Even if I am labled as insane.

Umm.
I mean... dude just train. Use the time to get strong instead of trying to fight this. But go ahead and try, more power to you.
I'm planning on going to David Campbell's course in San Cruz or where ever. Its not ANW, but it's an obstacle course, and I'm going to have fun there, and than root for everyone on the boards for ANW.

There's no point in fighting something that is not going to change. It would have been totally different if G4 hasn't said anything and we are waiting for any kind of nibblet of information. They have so there has to be a point where you have to give up that line of thought. Sasuke 24 was painful for the fan base because that was when the final nail in the coffin to any entries through M9 were hit. In the past you could just send it to M9 and pray for the best. That's gone thanks to G4 and everyone on this board knows how much I hate their involvement and mucking up of this show because of their poorly conceived, badly timed and arrogant marketing that has caused this rift. G4 is now the ONLY way to get on this show and that does close the entire door to anyone under 21. As much as I can't stand it.. that's the reality. Trying to go against that is IMO insane considering that we've all fought hard for 2 years to get it away from G4's hands. This is the reality. Time to accept it. It's part of accepting life as it is.
The bigger thing though is this. I agree with Juice on this. If you want to train and hope things change that's another thing entirely. If you train for a show I think that's a bit short sighted. I think us older jaded people have a clearer perspective on life and a bit more realistic with certain things. When a world exists and the ONLY thing you would train for is a game show accross the ocean that has had 5% foreign participation (period) for years.. you clearly need to refocus. I love this show but if you have to ask yourself this question. Does being physically fit and having fun with friends less important to you than getting on a show? Juice is right on this. Enjoy what we can have here with the thousands of fans that are here wanting the same thing. Sasuke is more of a concept than a goal. Especially when G4 is involved. I'm terrified of seeing all of you just drop off the face of the earth when TBS cancels this show. Seriously.. a lot of lives are centered around this show is so unhealthy it's scary to watch. It's entertainment and yes it would be fun to enter but if your life is centered upon this sole purpose.. you need to refocus. Life is not like this. Trust me on that.

I just got accepted into Pepperdine University and I plan on going there in the fall. The college I'm currently at I take ballroom dance classes, weight training, math, astronomy, racquetball, marketing and I do plenty of intramural sports. I play my viola frequently and I work out about 4 times a week with cardio and lifting weights. I am focused on getting a higher education and enjoying my life while at Pepperdine.
This little excursion is but perhaps 5% of what I spend my time on. I try to do a little of everything and I really want to test my abilities on the ANW course and maybe someday the Sasuke course.

When talking about Sasuke for someone under 21. My heart does go out to you. It really does. Given what we have now (in terms of information) we know certain things to be true. Beating the dead horse. We know that. It is what is it. Concentrate your time in petitioning G4 to do NF for fans and support M9 in presenting a show that will last 2 years until you CAN enter ANW. Right now we are sitting on a show with a 7.5% rating in Japan. We could have potentially seen the last friggin' show. Instead of concentrating on trying to get on ANW where you cannot.. try concentrating on supporting Sasuke as a whole so it's there for future generations.

Definition of insanity: Continuing an action expecting a different result. Perhaps someone should have told Katsumi Yamada this. And if you think that you're figure is great, this guy got to meet Miley Cyrus because of his athletic figure! 2.bp.blogspot.com/_KHXQnQbzKQg/SfbOBPTNlkI/AAAAAAAAApM/j6CCx0GjqsU/s400/miley_cyrus_and_fat_guy-12543.bmpYes, he is an athlete. For a sport. Getting back on track, G4 will never lower the age to 18 for various problems. The biggest probably being making sure you don't drink while on the trip with them.

I'm in support of lowering the age limit to 18, especially considering I am 18 haha. But sadly, most of these posts are right, because g4 is too stubborn to even consider lowering the age limit. So sadly, it won't happen, but if you make an official post or something like that, I'd be happy to offer my support.
