Yes, it will make the reach smaller. Why they tried to progress so quickly is beyond me. I would've tried to play it safe, I imagine.

Yes, it will make the reach smaller. Why they tried to progress so quickly is beyond me. I would've tried to play it safe, I imagine. It's probably from the fact that with their strength somewhat being sapped from the previous obstacle, they tried to rush it to at least get far. As we've seen alot of times, try to rush too much on stage 3, you'll pay for it.

Well, I should clarify that my comment about the "reaching backwards" wasn't meant to be the reason they failed but rather a small contributing factor. Had they been a really good mental state, I don't think either Lee or Kenji would have attempted to reach for Rail 3 prior to reaching the end of Rail 2.
This portion of the Ultimate CliffHanger would certainly be the most difficult to replicate, so it's reasonable to think someone may attempt to replicate the Ultimate CliffHanger disregarding this backward incline. In the future, that difference could hamper someone's focus while attempting the obstacle, similar to how Levi failed the Shin CliffHanger in 23 because the first rail threw him off his game, so to speak.
---
I continue to have difficulty believing 45cm as that vertical gap, but they do have a few really short testers on Sasuke. Maybe that guy was just that short. With any luck, someone from these boards will be attempting that obstacle in the next tournament and will be able to report back with more information and/or complete the obstacle.

But yes, I completely agree with you. The more I look at that gap, the more 45 cm doesn't seem right. I got around 60 cm and I believe it to be close. I'm actually sorta proud of my little calculations. I hope they're actually right.

I'd have better luck if it wasn't for G4 making you be 18... Hell.. if 26 was a new years special again and G4 lowered the age limit I'd have a chance of being the first to pass it if I train enough

I'm aiming to be the first one to have a very close-to-exact replica and be able to beat it. We'll see how that goes, though. I imagine a lot of Japanese people are already making theirs too. If I have to, I'll settle for just being the first around here.

Honestly you will have to move fast because I have already started building mine. I have the angled piece already added to my current cliffhanger and putting the ledges on today. All I have to do then is take down my current ledges and put up the new ones(which I honestly might not do for like a week or two maybe).

If you beat UNCLI in making it consider that a great achievement!

Haha I never even though of beating them to it. You know what, I think i should kick it up a notch and get this thing built in about a day or two, would be cool to be the first(at least with a video of it).

Yours may come first, but I have a feeling mine will be more precise.

Only difference with mine will be a 3rd gap instead of the long 3rd ledge. Precise enough for me, and harder.

Being the first to get one that's even kinda close built and put on YouTube would be a great encouragement to everyone else.
Being second would be just that much more "I can probably build one too" encouragement... not that UNCLI needs any help getting excited over a new Cliffhanger.
I wait with eager anticipation!

I started today. Took several hours just to make a rough frame. This may be a bigger project than I thought. You're lucky, Venom. You already had a big, secure Cliff Hanger. You can just modify it. I'm making mine from scratch. You can call me Paula Dean. I'll have pictures of the frame up in a little while.

Ya man I was lucky for this one, all I had to do was add on the angled piece(which I only put where the actual first 2 ledges will be, no un-needed extra wall space). Though I did have to build the previous one almost from scratch, so it almost evens out. Good luck with the build though, it definitely is a really big project if starting from scratch.
So Im wondering, is this thing going to be just floating out in your yard or what? I mean building the entire frame from the ground up or do you at least have some sort of support higher up you can build it all off of(even if only a tiny bit)?

Floating in the yard. Anti-grav devices, yo.
It's gonna be pretty much like everything else: just a bunch of metal stuck several feet in the ground and cemented. I have nothing reliable from which to build. Not for this baby. It's 32 feet long.
