Did anyone catch all of what the announcer said? I know the first two ledges were both 2 meters long, and angled upwards 24 degrees. The rest I missed, but I know it WAS said... Maybe we should wait for someone to update the Japanese wiki. They're obsessive about updating over there.

I can't believe how crazy the new cliff is. It's going to take a LONG time for someone to beat it.

I loved everyone's reactions to the new 3rd stage. Everyone took a collective dump in their pants when they saw all the new obstacles.

Seems like a 3cm ledge that you can't quite get all of your fingers on.

That little ledge is only 15cm? 6 inches? Awesome... My hands take up 8 inches when resting together on a ledge, I have to tuck my thumbs inwards to get my hands touching to get 6 inches. I still have no doubts on it being able to do it, but this is pretty gay nonetheless.

To make it harder, they may have to make the small ledge 3 inches long and have the competitors use their teeth to grab hold of it.

LOL yeah, but seriously, it seemed like most people were completely wiped out by the time they got to the cliffhanger anyway.

Anyways, this version looks EXTRAORDINARLY fun, and difficult, to be honest, i could see this being beaten next tournament... by like Nagano, Takeda or someone from UNCLI... or Kanno. I mean think, this isnt hard to built. Its a 30min-1hr project, 1 1/2hrs if things get a lil sticky. But i mean it looks fun to practice so, i can see it going down, soon.

Ya seriously, what makes it worse is I don't think he gets that I was calling it hard to begin with... Regardless, the moment I replicate and complete it I will post a video on here and that will make Lars' comment look more silly than it already is.

At least you're going to try to give us some proof. That's more than a lot of people around here do (or used to, I guess. Hasn't happened in a while.). Just make sure to make it as close to full-sized and exact as you can. Otherwise it doesn't count. The only problem with building this is that it's so massive. I think it would take me a majority of a day to build it just because of all the supports and whatnot I would need to put in place. I still have plans to build it, though.

I agree 100% with pretty much everything everyone here said about the Cliffhanger being beatable, not impossible. I'm sure once guys get to play around with their replicas this one will look almost easy. If I want to build this one though, I'm definitely gonna need some tips, because I have nowhere near the building experience or expertise to replicate this obstacle haha.

Im going to get it out there before I put up a video of it that mine will not be exactly the same as the official one. The angled pieces wont be able to be as long, and the 3rd ledge wont be as long. The reason for the 3rd ledge being shorter is because I am putting 3 gaps in the size of the big gap. Personally I think a 3rd consecutive gap and slightly shorter angled ledges(only about a foot or little more shorter btw) will make it slightly more difficult overall, To kill any potential nitpicking the changes would cause I will make sure tu spice the video attempt up with more than just that, but I will figure out those details out closer to when its actually going to happen.

Even if it's an honest opinion. Good job. I still say inexperience is the only reason no one reached the third ledge.

wow yeah, sarcasm is SUCH a big deal! haha... chill out, kids.
and...um...how is building this going to be easy? It's so huge, and the angled part in the beginning will be really tough to recreate. Good luck! I think it may be a better choice to build only a couple small parts and train hard on those parts. If you have the grip and strength, isn't building a huge horizontal ledge a bit of a waste?
I love the new obstacle, but i think it's a bit of a shame how people need to build replicas to get through them. I realize it's inevitable, though... I sure as hell know i couldn't get through it.
Imagine if the show was a huge world-wide event, like a one-event olympics, and only the best athletes in the world could get through all of the obstacles? epic. maybe one day...

@greg: I already have a large cliffhanger built, and the reason it will be easy for me to build the angled part is because i will simply add it onto the beginning, but only the first 6 feet, im not slanting the entire thing.
Also I know you didn't call me out specifically for this but I will defend it. I definitely don't NEED to build replicas, same goes for many others, but it is alot of fun to do, I really enjoy building things. But it also allows me to go beyond what the shows obstacle is and deviate a little bit with my creativity and have fun with it. I don't think theres any problem with building replicas as long as you do other training too, if someone built some replicas and those were the ONLY things they did to train, then yes that is a shame.
