Wait a second. If the "Salmon Flip" and "Pipe Jumper" guys were both testers, and Koji Hashimoto was shown between them on Cliff Hanger v5.0, does this mean something? Might he have been the only one to make it that far or are they simply building suspense? IMO, this just seems a little weird, especially when considering a trailer that's only 10 seconds long. Uhm... do you not remember "ZOMG NAGANO IN FINAL..... KANZENSEIHA!!" From 24? or... "ZOMG ORANGE PANTS IN FINAL? TAKEDA MADE THE FINAL ZOMG ZOMG" From 23? HAVE WE NOT LEARNED OUT LESSON YET? So to answer your question, no, this commercial proves nothing except a few new obstacles. Well you can least assume that it's probably not a tester, which leads me to think that there might only be only 1 or 2 people that made it that far. It's simply a speculation.

No, you can't assume it's not a tester. Why are you assuming it's not a tester? We thought the orange pants guy from 23 was Takeda, but it was a tester. This means nothing. Seriously, don't read into it, you'll feel A LOT better that way. Just wait a week and enjoy the broadcast. Also I don't know how this leads you to believe there will only be 1-2 people in stage 3. There is no indication at all. This is the same as any trailer. It's always a mix of testers and real competitors. THIS IS NORMAL.

Look at the tester for the Jumping Pipe thing.. Looks like one of the testers from the 24 preview who was working on stage 3

Maybe you guys are right, maybe I'm right, maybe we're all right, maybe we're all wrong. Either way, I'll be happy to see Mr. Octopus on the Final Stage. ;D

I agree that if it's not immediately clear who the people are, speculating is only going to ruin it for you if you get it right, but sometimes it just jumps out at you. For me, it was like that for Wakky and Yamada in 23, fairly certain for Kawaguchi in 24, and 95% for someone this time.

Something a lot of people didn't notice: The cliff-hanger starts on ground level, meaning whatever obstacles before it have to lead there. From Sasuke's 4-24 the cliff-hanger has always started off really high off of the ground.

I dont this hashimoto was the only one to get that far. Why would they show the furthest guy and best result in the preview? Maybe its not even Hashimoto

So to answer your question, no, this commercial proves nothing except a few new obstacles. Orange pants guy wasn't a tester, it was people taking a picture...in a low quality YOUTUBE video...with the person the size of a grain a sand, taking that little, basically nothing of an image and running way way way too far with it.
24 again was due to poor quality. I have talked to a few people who actually watched the preview on TV and you could see that the shirt wasn't black. Again, very far shot, similar to 23.
This though, is a very close shot in good quality of someone who looks a lot like Hashimoto, failing the Cliffhanger. I highly doubt it is a tester because all of the SASUKE testers wear similar things, like the Salmon Ladder and Jumping Bars guys.
Imo, it is probably him. Familiar peoples runs have been spoiled in the past, Yamada and Wakky's Slider Jump fails in 23 for example as well as Washimi and Takamasa's in 19. I'm confident enough that it is him, that I would gladly be willing to bet that in the betting thread.
Although, Bada does make a good point. Speculation is great, but trying to know EVERYTHING is a bit much. Just relax and enjoy it and in 6 days we'll all know.

Oh I see your point scnoi, and I agree it does look way too much like koji to not be him, but we don't know for sure and I'd rather not waste time trying to ruin the broadcast for me. I also believe it is a real competitor, and unless it's someone new, it's Hashimoto. I just think we'd all enjoy it more if we didn't pick apart every detail. Watching a spoiler-filled trailer can be fine, if we just looked at what it gave us instead of psychoanalyzing everything. Knowing a few new obstacles isn't all that bad, but then people start to see what comes before and after each obstacles, and they start to figure who is on each obstacle and which are testers... etc.

From Sasuke's 4-24 the cliff-hanger has always started off really high off of the ground. OR it could start out level and then they decide to have an obstacle that at the end brings you down like Kudari Ranpu Grasper and Rope Junction did to get you to the Devil Steps

Regarding the Jump Hang, I think it'd be cool if they sort of rotated old obstacles, where every tournament they would have one or two different ones, like the Jumping Spider (if it's not there now) or Slider Jump, so it could be nostalgic without interfering too much with the overall difficulty, as well as keeping competitors on their toes.

Perhaps, but I'm partial to the 4-17 still. Guess we'll find out when this era ends... probably in like 7 years.

yeah maybe to soon to judge a new sasuke era by 10 seconds of spoilers but damn what a good damn 10 seconds the new cliffhanger looks impossible

Not saying I can complete the obstacle, but I can see where "Hashimoto" (quoted because it may not be him) faltered. He had about another foot to the left on second ledge of the cliff hanger that is slanted upward. The closer you are to the top ledge, the easier it is to reach.
Also, looking at the final clip in the short trailer, we can see it's the last obstacle. It has me asking myself questions. So starting from the green bar, do you think the pipe will be waiting for you in the 1st pipe stopper/holder or do you think they will have to bring the bar with you from whatever is before it.
Last think, it seems like the new salmon ladder can lead to some sick and very possibly painful wipe outs.
