Actually I was wondering which country JET is in. And G4 hypes all the ANC guys because they sent the guys over paying for it and all, Plus in 20 Levi got farthur than even Nagano so of course they're going to hype him (Even if he does fail the Salmon Ladder this time around). And last time I heard, Lee Enchi/Lee Yen Chee (I don't know which one is the right name) went himself, its not like JET sent him or something, Plus hes never passed the Second Stage (17: Metal Spin, 18: Jumping Spider, 21: Wall Lift) so I doubt they'd give him hype for that reason either

Yes, but he's the only Taiwanese to compete at Sasuke (I may be wrong) and he did have a good showing at both #17 and #21. They didn't really 'hype' him up, but JET ran a commercial during the Sauske broadcasts to promote Sasuke and the shirt giveaway contest. Sasuke is quite popular here, but more from a spectator standpoint. I don't think there are too many people here trying out for Sasuke, but I could be wrong. And that may change as well...

Didn't Lee get on to SASUKE 17 via a special competition held in Taiwan? Wasn't it in conjunction with JET? That would make him a de facto JET representative if so.

I thought so to Ube. I saw that as well that he did some mock competition and he won that. I remember him being in 17 and 18 and of course now in 21.

Is that what the thing in the profile was? I remember something like the Tarzan Jump then he hit a bell, I suppose that could be true, I don't know enough japanese to understand someones profile and I doubt G4 would talk about another channel showing it even though the people watching G4 have most likely never heard of it.

The video you guys were talking about definitely was Taiwan's qualifying round (not sure if it went through JET TV), because I've found videos of it and labeled as "Sasuke" in Chinese, but they didn't show Lee at all. I believe the rock climbing could have been part of it as well.

It's gone now but there used to be a page on the JET website about some of the people who participated in the Taiwan trial (I believe they sent two competitors to 17) which always led me to assume that JET was responsible for sending them. If you can read the articles here I guess it would clear things up: tw.myblog.yahoo.com/n428/gallery?fid=-1&page=6By the way, this is the t-shirt contest lars was talking about: www.jettv.com.tw/web/event/sasuke/index.htmlI think the question is what stage will Lee (李恩至) make which is something most everyone here knows. Of course since the contest is dated 10/10/2007 to 10/25/2007 technically no one wins beans because everyone's entry would be late.

I doubt Taiwan is a year behind us too. But that would so easy if you answered 2 and "guessed" he makes it to the Wall Lift.

If you have lived in Taiwan, you know that this kind of thing happens all the time. They have a draw on the 30th and I've already texted in my answer 10 times and they replied to me. I've also seen the video about Lee competing in some kind of trial in Taiwan, but I don't think JET had anything to od with it and I've never seen anything on JET TV. But who knows in this crazy place...
