OK more polls, but please think about this before giving an answer. I am almost finished watching SASUKE 24 again on TV here in Taiwan (don't hate me), and I have to say that I felt the all-stars' pain during this one more than the others. So, my question is...
Which of these guys faces the biggest challenge in SASUKE 25 (I mean more of a psychological test than a physical one)?
Nagano...really screwed up on stage 1 and needs a good performance in 25. Will the pressure get to him?
Takeda...seeing him fail stage 3 AGAIN was agonizing! Is he ready to give up or can he overcome his demons?
Yamamoto...at least he got to stage 3 in #23, but does he have what it takes to clear stage 1 and 2 again?
Bunpei...I hope he can come back but if he does, it will be a huge challenge for him with injury and a 2-year layoff.
Akiyama...hasn't made stage 2 since #16 and there's no sign of him changing that fact. Will he compete at all?
Mr. SASUKE!.. it really felt after his stage 1 fail that he may be done. Dunno but I wonder if he'll be back. With the course redesign, will this really end his chances once and for all or will he prove me wrong?
Just my thoughts...

Nagano - He must be under huge pressure to make amends for his careless mistake in 24. Besides he also has to perform well for the sake of the new "Kompira Maru" Restaurant. He was the top dog for so long between 11 ~ 18 but was inconsistent during 19 ~ 24. Another bad performance & critics ( like the most hated announcer ) will start saying he is over-the-hill. A good performance will shut up his critics who wrote him off. So much pressure. Poor Guy! Takeda was never the hot favourite. 5~11 the favourites were Yamada, Kane, Akiyama & Shingo. In 12~18, Nagano & Bunpei got top billing. In Shin-Sasuke, there was nagano, Levi & the New-Stars. In 24, Nagano & Kanno were the hot favourites. After 24, the 5 finalists along with Tajima finished ahead of him. No one dares write off Nagano. So expectations will rest with Nagano & the other 6 guys. Takeda has less pressure unless Nagano fails early again. Shingo has been in so many sasukes & is expected to continue taking part for eternity. His "biggest" pressure is to keep showing up ( Joke ). His performance in 25 will probably be touch & go ( 50-50 fine line between pass & fail 1st stage ). He has always been the "unpredictable" one. Akiyama's has gone through bad streaks before, ie. during 6 ~ 10, 17~24. Nothing New to him. Just another day at the office. Bunpei will be happy just to be able to compete. After such a long lay-off from injury, we should be glad if he is ready again. No pressure for him, he needs some time to regain his lost form. however, he might never compete again. Yamada...the only issue is will he be allowed back for 25 by TBS.

What does Yamada have to worry about, not competing anxiety?
Takeda has the biggest challenge, the final stage, on THIS course?

Well, it says Sasuke 25 so i voted for nagano. Its wont be bad for takeda to fail the third stage in 25 since its "new" but if 3d stage was unchanged vote def goes to takeda.

Nagano and Takeda as always. I think everybody still expects more from them.

Eh. Nagano gets nervous, but he always breaks out of it.
He must of been nervous as hell in 18, but he made it to Stage 3, so whatever.
Also, I'm probably going to sound like a nub, but I never knew you lived in Taiwan Lars. Pretty damn cool.

Since they're all doing the same course it'll be an equal challenge for all.
But Nagano is under the most pressure I'd say.

What does Yamada have to worry about, not competing anxiety? Takeda has the biggest challenge, the final stage, on THIS course? Venus, the thread is which all-star faces the biggest challenge. Takeda is good. he'll obviously have to work if he ever hopes to make it to the final, but Yamada would need to work soe much harder. 1. We don't even know if he'll compete 2. Mental Demons 3. old age 4. Track record of failing the first stage for half of Sasuke's history in a row. Once again, the thread is which all-star will face the biggest challenge. The only one even comparable to Yamada is Akiyama.

All you had to say was "I liked the way I said it better" I knew I was going to piss you off and make you try to be right, that's what makes forums fun for us. All this "You don't understand what the subject is" and "My opinion has more value." I should be busy editing instead. I am through with this.

Lol what's your problem Venus? I can't defend an opinion of mine?
That was (like this) an uneeded response. You questioned my reasoning and I gave why I said my choice which I failed to do in my first post. It was perfectly fine for this thread.

I said Takeda. His performace was great last tournament, but being outshown by 6 other contestants that made the Third Stage look easy (minus what was essentially path fail 2.0) has to have been difficult for nearly 2 months. He's got a lot to prove.
I would say the person feeling the least pressure is Nagano. Yes, I said least. If anything, I think Yuuji's kanzenseiha took the pressure of Nagano. Instead of Nagano being the "you're our last hope, you can't let us down" go-to guy, he can now just be "Nagano the Still-Great Champion". He seemed to genuinely enjoy all of Sasuke 24 minus the All-Star fails and the parts where he was "being there for" Takeda. Expectations are and will remain high for a long time for Nagano, but he is no longer the "last hope" when it comes down to the end.
Shingo, Akiyama, and Bunpei are all fan-favorites, but I wouldn't say any of them have anything to prove. All three face physical limitations and have still done well, but that's just another reason I think they have nothing to prove.
Yamada... okay... if they don't let him participate, you could make a very convincing argument that his psychological difficulties during the tournament would be the highest by far.
----- Edited to add: ----- I don't think an argument of consistancy is particularly valid in this case because the only consistant (non-Aoki-esque) contestant in Shin-Sasuke was Okuyama, and he's not one of the All-Stars (which this thread is about).

I said all of them. Although they may be 6 different individuals with their individual challenges, they're better known as 1 group/as a whole to most people. Therefore, the challenges that the All-Stars are facing will be met by all of them close to evenly (despite how they've done on Sasuke recently, i.e. Shin-Sasuke). Besides, the apparent idea that the All-Stars might be demising is the major challenge that each of them has to deal with as well. Point blank, all that I'm trying to say is that they're all in the same boat. And that boat could quite possibly be sinking.

I'll say Nagano, with Takeda as a close second place. Lemme explain. Even if Yamada competed, remember he said he would have retired, which means he didn't want/didn't think he was able to compete again. Akiyama and Bunpei would just be there to try their best. We all know it's unlikely that they go really far because of their health problems. Shingo has his fubarred shoulder preventing him from being to his 100%. He's always been unpredictable, going through epic fails as much as epic wins. We(I say WE, all of us) consider Takeda's run to be not so good because of all that people going to the final. Remember, you are amazing if you get to stage 4, but if you "only" make it to stage 3 it's still a great run. Kinda like the poor sould who failed the Gliding Ring on the stopper: we all say that sucked, but damn, he went all the way to the end of stage 3. Yes, there's pressure on him,but even with his sad stage 3 run in 24, Takeda did GREAT in 24. Nagano failed epically in 24 (sigh.. ) . Media, TBS, announcers are all on him expecting him to get his revenge and prove that was just a little mistake that cost him a lot. If he fails, everybody will be going "OMG he's done it's the start of the end". But feel free to disagree

I don't think an argument of consistancy is particularly valid in this case because the only consistant (non-Aoki-esque) contestant in Shin-Sasuke was Okuyama, and he's not one of the All-Stars (which this thread is about). I thought it was Lee Enchi? Though yes both are very consistant competitors
