(it's here because we can't talk about 24 in previous tournaments and we don't want to alienate viewers who saw 24 first)
Venus, really interested in the past, saw the TBS broadcast of 21 first. It's hard to believe I've already seen 4 pretty tournaments all lined up. the thing I remember about watching it most clearly is Levi doing his flips, when it was all so new lol now it's kind of another relic of the past.
If anyone here was clever enough to go online (after discovering ninja warrior) and try to hook into live Japanese tv in 2007 and saw 19 first, I'd like to meet 'em. I'm convinced that is as far back as anyone (here anyway) knew about the show.
Let us know how your experience was too, how you remember it.

I find it reaaally hard to believe anyone saw 19 live (Minus well... Ube) =p but I know a few people here did see 20.
21 was my first anyway. First time we didn't have to use keyhole.

24. Even then, it was only the last few minutes. Still awesome, though.

21 definitely ranks up there as one of the highest quality broadcasts we watched, scnoi's plan was to use Livestation as I and most people did, great fullscreen presentation. Livestation stopped showin TBS but Tvantz is what we used for 22, which took a poop on us right before 23 and I think 24. Oddly enough Keyhole worked out... great, for those two actually.

My journey started with 19 but those were Youtube Rips. I was led to Sasuke 20 literally the night before of but I saw the whole thing for the first time. Sasuke 20 was a HUGE eye opener since it was then that I saw the whole thing with commercials. That's also when I found out about this "Sasuke Maniac" deal and it was friggin' awesome. Back then there was ONLY KeyHole. Heck.. KeyHole + Camstudio was it until TVU came along.

22 was the first one I watched live. I couldn't watch 21, because I was at school if I remember correctly. Although I did watch it afterwards not knowing the results ahead of time thanks to youtube. My alarm didn't wake me up for 23, so I only saw half of it live. And for 24, I was at a New Years' party. Now looking back on it, I haven't watched too much Sasuke live. So, I can't wait for 25 ;D.

22 was first live. 19 was first japanese broadcast I saw, after G4 had shown it someone at G4s forums (before this existed) said a friend of his in japan recorded it and he managed to get the DVD his friend got, uploaded it, that was the first I saw even if it missed the start and started at Lance Tarvend's run.
20 I saw a bit after G4 aired 20, forget the story of origin for it. my first FULL TBS broadcast.
21 I was all ready for but my old PC sucked and couldn't run keyhole. I downloaded all parts from TheGuy (when it existed) and saw the whole thing later that day. 22 was months after getting a new PC and TVAnts was newly found and worked.. that was great..
23.. well we remember that incident.. TVAnts died.. So yuo either paid or used Keyhole.. I used Keyhole..
24 I caught Sheep's livestream and streamed it myself, I liked helping but damn I missed the chatting..

21 was my first Japanese Broadcast, followed by 22 the same way (not live from a torrent), 23 was first live which went fairly well sans some chat happy spoilers but nothing too much, then I saw 24 from a different stream which only froze once but even then I only missed half of a stage 3 run, nothing significant

17 from a friend who moved there in 2005 he sent me dvds of 18 and 19 as well after they aired. But I saw these within days or original airings and was spoiler free.
20 was the first one I watched live live.

Or at least go later in the day which I did for oh wait, I was lucky and 21 & 22 broadcasted on really vague hours for me. I was able to watch them before school but was allowed to skip anyways.

18 and 19 I watched on G4.
20 was spoiled horribly but I watched it on G4.
21 I watched on G4.
22 would have been my first live tournament but I had a big event the next day. I watched a recording as soon as it was up.
23 I watched it live only because I was extremely sick. I was scheduled to play drums in my church's youth band that day.
24 I watched live.

20 on G4 was also severely spoiled for me, damn bastards on IMDb (your guess is as good as mine why I went there) posting the spoilers they found on wikipedia. We did our best to keep it hidden but I accidentally read that the person who made the 3rd stage was Levi and what happened to Brian and Brett. Still very fun to watch it with my parents, ones like Nagano's wipe out I was NOT expecting.

Wow, lucky me I havent had ANY spoiled for me I came to G4 about when they aired sasuke 20 (like a day after ninjafest and they were re-airing it or something). Then I came here (i was like...the(?) member), got the info for 21. I watched the 1st stage on livestation. For 22 i used Keyhole and TVantz (had them running at the same time), but i only watched the first 50. Sasuke 23 the entire thing from Unclesam's LiveStream. Then for 24 I watched it on the HD stream (i think it was the justintv stream). My first live TBS broadcast was 21 My first TBS/JET broadcast was like 20 or 19. might have been 15. My first entire TBS broadcast was 23

programs like Keyhole TV, TVAnts, and WIST(pay stream), is how we normally watch it.
21 was my first. and I fell asleep during 22 and 23, and my comp stopped working at the end of 24.

For Shin-SASUKE, I had seen clips of both 18 and 19 on youtube. I remember x198333 had clips of 19 showing all the people dying on the Jumping Spider and what happened to Nagano etc. For 20, people were looking for any way to see the tournament live. I remember searching on google for "watch tbs japan live" and I came across this site: xorsyst.com/japan/watch-japanese-tv-online/I posted that on the G4 boards the day before the tournament, and I think Ube relayed that message to the people on the old webjam, and the rest was history. 21 was the day before I went to college. It was a lot more organized and the AIM chat worked great for it. Livestation worked great and overall it was a great time. 22 with Tvants was great too. Nice big screen, however I had to leave after Stage 2 because of class. 23 was a debacle because of tvants dying. I was able to get into a livestream but I wished the whole thing was more organized so people didn't have to resort to keyhole. 24 worked smoothly and I happened to catch the super HD stream which was amazing. I wish we still had a copy of that high quality. Overall, I've been pretty lucky with how the tournaments have aligned and have only missed part of 1 out of 5 tournaments.

First TBS broadcast that I saw was 23 (followed by 24), but not live. So I just voted for 23 since it only says "first Japanese broadcast of a competition you witnessed", not a live one. Hopefully, I'll be able to see a live one eventually, though I doubt I'll be able to watch the entire thing in one sitting when there are several other kids sharing the same laptop with me.
