Nagano I say he will be able to adapt better to the obstacles. I actually said Yuuji for the same reason.

I'm gonna give this one to Yuuji. He's the current champion of Sasuke and hopefully he won't be pressured too much. I see him in Stage Three easily

Nagano I say he will be able to adapt better to the obstacles. I actually said Yuuji for the same reason. Yuuji does good because he practices good replicas of the osbtacles and then harder version of them, so the actual ones seem easy. Nagano does good because he can make quick decisions and learn the right techniques to beating certain obstacles. A lot of techniques Nagano invented have been used on the course by other people. For example, in 23 in the split second he knew the slider jump bar wouldn't reach the end he let go. Of course it was still night impossible to make it, but you could see his quick decision making. Yuuji has it too to some extent, but not as good as Nagano. He showed it off when he failed in 21 and 23.

Recently it's occurred to me that people who get high numbers (besides 100) won't get very far as expected. Every time someone's gotten to the final and then given 99 in the next tournament they did severely worse. I'm not expecting yuuji to do very well or as well as expected. The formula is the ones who did the best last time will probably not do better the following year.

I see Yuuji and Nagano as equals IMO, I think they'll both adapt pretty quickly.

I gave the nod to Nagano. Nagano still has more speed and brute strength than Yuuji. Plus, with the added pressure of being #100, i think Yuuji will not want to make any mistakes and thus be pretty cautious (ala 23) and might time out. Nagano while he also has some adjustment issues (see: Flying Chute 19 and Slider Jump 22), I think when it comes down to it, he'll be the most prepared for whatever the new course has to offer in 25. Past that, I'd give it to Yuuji.

Yuuji simply adapts better than Nagano. I think Yuuji will come out ahead at the start, but Nagano will catch up and maybe surpass him soon after that.

Yuuji constantly fails because he can't correct mistakes. In 21 he was going to slow on the flying chute and he didn't release on his first try. On the unstable bridge he fell because he couldn't react quick enough. Nagano is like the inventor of adaptation. He always finds the best way to beat obstacles.

Nagano...HE'S NAGANO...he got to Stage 3 in 18...yeah, Nagano adapts WAY better than Yuuji(that saw THREE tournaments with the same(or close enough) obstacles, Nagano saw, 96 people?).
Nagano my friend...Nagano.

I voted for nagano. I mean, after falling like that in 24, in 25 he should do good. I think 24 was the first time all the allstars got further than him. And might be 99 which will take off presure. I think he is still better than yuuji and he will get the furthest in 25. Hes like always the guy who "tests out" the obstacles in further stages since hes usually the first to reach them. FE - Sasuke 21 - Final ring (whatever its called)
Who voted for Akiyama? lol

He's only had 4 tries at the course. 21 was his first tournament so it's hard to judge him on that. Nagano failed TWICE on the first stage during his first two attempts. And I would equate Yuuji's Unstable Bridge fall to Nagano's Jumping Spider fall. Yuuji also made it to the Final Stage twice.

Yeah, but that has nothing to do with adaptability. Nagano got to stage three on his first try at shin-sasuke.
Yuuji is good because he replicates obstacles and trains on them constantly, then makes harder versions so the stuff on Sasuke looks easy.
Nagano just works out. He trains for certain obstacles but nowhere near the extent Yuuji does, he's good without doing that. Yuuji is good because of that, but if he hadn't trained on those obstacles he'd fail.
That's why Yuuji failed the UB, it was a new obstacle he didn't practice on before. Same with the Flying Chute, and he failed the rope climb because he had never practiced rope climbing. Nagano is far more adaptable so atleast for the first tournament Nagano should do better considering it's going to be a perfect renewal.

Not really, and saying that Yuuji "consistently fails" is just a tad bit of an overstatement.
While I agree with you bada on your choice, I also think you are undercutting Yuuji just a bit. 21 I'd give him a pass, it was his first time on the Flying Chute and hey, he failed there like a TON of people did that day. Nagano couldn't "adapt" to the changes made to the Flying Chute in 19, so that point is pretty moot.
Plus, Yuuji's fail on the Unstable Bridge was definitely not because it was new. He he basically already beaten the obstacle, was rushing, and probably was already thinking about the Metal Spin, when he realized he didn't have his balance. Like jfeathe said, it's the equivalent to Nagano's fail in 24.
I mean hey, if he want to really break it down, why don't we mention 22. It was both their first time seeing the new obstacles and Yuuji cleared it while Nagano didn't. Yuuji didn't have 3 tournaments to prepare for the course, he had 76 people. Nagano had 99 and yet he couldn't do it. So your argument for that case doesn't hold.
So while I agree with you Bada, I think it more has to do with mental strength. As I said in my previous post, if Yuuji is to fail in the First Stage, it will be because of a mental mistake he makes.

Yeah, but I also made the point that Yuuji tirelessly trains on replicas, which is a big reason why he's so good.
Nagano doesn't as much but still has just as much success on the course. So who will do better? The one who relies on obstacle replications, or the one who doesn't use them and just conditions his body?
Yuuji has no way of replicating obstacles he knows nothing about. I'm not saying he's terrible without them, but it definitely gave him an edge, especially in stage 3.

I'm not disagreeing with you Bada, just saying that some of that logic in your previous posts was flawed. What you said in the last post, I agree with 100%

Bada, Have you been following Yuuji's training? Haven't you heard all the UNCLI guys have been practicing general skills recently? And even if it is still the replicas, Wouldn't doing everything harder than it has to be make things easier on something similar?
