Meaning, how many episodes will there be? Which runs will they show and which ones will they fast forward? With so many in Stage 2, they're going to fast forward through some of them. I mean Sasuke 18 had 6 Stage 2 people and Washimi and Takamasa were fast forwarded. How will the episodes be broken up? And finally, if you think the G4 broadcast is going to be terrible, what do you think would make it better?

IMO, 3 or 4 episodes for the first stage, and 1 for each of the second and third stages.
As for cuts, I'm not sure about the first stage, but I predict the second will be like this:
Show: Nagano, Takeda, Shiratori, Levi, Brian Digest: Lee, Matsunaga, Nakata, Miyazaki
Miyazaki was the first to clear the second stage, so they may show it if they have time. Depends on what style they're going for.
They'll probably show the entire third stage. Miyazaki's run may be sped up.

I think there will be either five or six spisodes, and the first four will have the first stage (one American per episode). If G4 is feeling generous, I could actually see them showing all of Stage 2, but split in half. The first three episodes have thirty people, the fourth has 10 people and half of stage 2, and the fifth finishes the 2nd Stage and Stage 3.
If I was editing, I'd do it like this:
Episode 1: 30 People, Luci Romberg and Lee Enchi Episode 2: 30 People, Mark Whitmer, Daisuke Nakata, Matsunaga Tomohiro Episode 3: 30 People, Brian Orosco, Bunpei Shiratori, Daisuke Miyazaki Episode 4: 10 People, Levi Meeuwenberg, Toshihiro Takeda, Makoto Nagano to end Stage 1, then Lee Enchi, Brian, Nakata, Tomohiro, and end with Miyazaki for Stage 2. Episode 5: Bunpei, Takeda, Levi, and Nagano's 2nd Stage, and then end with Stage 3 in order.
Obviously, they probably won't edit it that way, but it would be nice if it were done along those lines. Knowing G4, they'll probably find a way to splice Olivia in somewhere.
The people count I listed is what Dave Wittenberg would announce it as.

the G4 broadcast for 20 had 4 episodes for the first stage, it took a long time. The middle of the 4th went to the 2nd stage and the 5th for second half and then the 3rd stage. My guess is they'll have less first stage since there's more that make it to the second this time. 3 parts for the first stage (we'll see Kevin ) 1 for the second and 1 for 3rd. Though each break people take during stage 3 is always cut down, it takes a long time to get through otherwise. They'll be skipping a lot of stage 1 competitors of course.

This may very well be the first 6-episode tournament. I could easily see four for Stage 1, a 5th for the first 7 stage two runs and a 6th for Levi's 2nd, Nagano's 2nd, and Stage 3.
Incidentally, Sasuke 20 was 4 stage 1 episodes and the 5th episode doing Stage 2 and 3 with one run per segment.

5 episodes, 3 for stage 1, 1 and a half for Stage 2, Half an episode (The other half is Stage 2) for Stage 3. I'm not sure who will be cut but I get a feeling the olympian from Stage 2 will be fast forwarded in Stage 2.

it honestly depends on how low they think they can keep the viewer's interest.

All the first stage clears and their chances:
Makoto Nagano - Full showing. Because he's Nagano.
Levi Meeuwenberg - G4. Full showing, no question.
Toshihiro Takeda - Probably another full showing.
Daisuke Miyazaki - Huge in Japan, but unknown in the US. Cut entirely from 20. He'll be shown because he did so well, and was the first to beat stage two. They may rush through his third stage run.
Tomohiro Matsunaga - Olympic medalist. Other than that, he doesn't have much charisma. I think he has the most chance of being digested.
Daisuke Nakata - They'll probably show his comeback run, but it depends on whether they think his second stage struggle is good TV or not.
Bunpei Shiratori - Good comeback performance from an All Star, should get in, and his stage two wipeout is short and spectacular, so it'll be shown, maybe first.
Brian Orosco - G4. Of course he'll be shown in full.
Lee Yen Chi - He was first, and his stage two run demonstrates the course well, but they may leave that for the clear runs if they're cut for time.

I think it ought to be 5 episodes. I like talledega's idea: 30 each in eps 1-3, 10 and then half of stage 2 in 4 (I think they'll show Enchi, Orosco, Matsunaga and Miyazaki there), the other half (Shiratori, Nakata, Takeda, Levi, Nagano) and all of stage 3 in 5. There is not enough competitors for Stage 3 to be a stand-alone episode IMO.

The half-hour episodes have four segments so there isn't, unless they do the whole mid-run commercial thing for the first time in the 90+ episode history of the port.

Ninja Warrior 20 had 5 half-hour segments, ending with Levi in Stage 3. I can't imagine Ninja Warrior 21 going over 5 segments (because of the rest of the Ninjafest line-up that will also likely be airing), but it would be a crime if it were under 5 segments seeing how more people made the 2nd and 3rd stages this time. G4 also has three times the number of ANC/G4 competitors in this competition than were in NW 20 so I expect them to devote a lot of time to that (full profiles/runs for all of them). Levi, Brian, and Luci will probably get a little extra attention if G4 has their own video to splice in (since I don't believe that G4 gets access to all of the unused TBS footage or even all of TBS' broadcast footage). I wouldn't be surprised if there were some extra shots of Brian and Levi before 2nd stage runs and shots of them mingling with Nagano and various other All-Stars. Maybe a shot of Yamada consoling Mark W. as Ruselis reported? Who knows? Depends on how much they want to focus on Mark I suppose. - Ninja Warrior/ANC one-hour pre-show special. Whether or not Kevin & Olivia's involvement in Ninja Warrior will be combined with/displace what was traditionally the ANC pre-show focusing on ANC winners experiences in Japan and Sasuke, or whether it will be an enhancement to the overall Ninja Warrior coverage, I don't know. My pessimism says it will detract from the coverage of ANC. I would prefer a separate (half-hour?) Kevin & Olivia in Japan show that I could watch or ignore while still giving full time to the ANC'ers own journey.
- Ninja Warrior half-hour wrap-up show (hosted by K&O or Zach Selwyn).

I get the feeling G4 will buy the unshown runs of Kevin and Olivia. Probably only because they're the G4 people, if they weren't they wouldn't give a damn about unshown runs.

They did show Olivia in Sasuke Maniac.. so getting that will not be difficult.. Kevin was cut completely.

They'll totally show it on AotS if not on "ninja warrior" since obviously K and O will bring up their trip to Japan.

They did show Olivia in Sasuke Maniac.. so getting that will not be difficult.. Kevin was cut completely. I think I remember hearing (either from scnoi or ube) that TBS has two basic types of packages that they sell to international markets. The longer version that JET TV uses and the Ninja Warrior version used in the U.S. and the UK. I don't think anyone has the option of buying the full TBS version that we saw last month (that Kevin was also cut from). That would be funny if G4 didn't film Kevin's run and TBS didn't include it in the Ninja Warrior version they sold to G4, especially since they kind of have a partnership with G4 and they must know that Kevin is one of their personalities. If they didn't get it with their standard purchase, G4 would have to make a special request for the raw footage from TBS (or rely on someone's amateur video). Kind of a slap in G4's face when you think about it. If only they had buried Olivia's footage too.

I think that G4 HAS to buy the full broadcast then they edit it and then let TBS distribute that.

The new Ninjafest 3 show entries have begun to show up in my cable listings along with the show descriptions. They give a pretty good indication of how the evening will go down and how Ninja Warrior will be broken up. So as I add these to my DVR recording schedule, let me go one-by-one through each show. NinjaFest 3Wednesday, Nov. 12th 6PM - 7PM Attack of the Show!Episode: Kevin and Olivia Attack Tokyo Japan's dancing stormtrooper; Kevin undergoes sumo training; Olivia tries whale meat; Kevin visits a sake factory. 7PM - 8PM American Ninja Challenge 3The winners of the American Ninja Challenge prepare to go to Japan. 8PM - 8:30PM Ninja WarriorEpisode: Sasuke 21 Part 1 Kevin Pereira and Luci Romberg. 8:30PM - 9PM Ninja WarriorEpisode: Sasuke 21 Part 2 Olivia Munn; Mark Witmer; Brian Orosco. 9PM - 9:30PM Ninja WarriorEpisode: Sasuke 21 Part 3 Levi Meeuwenberg; Ninja Warrior All-Stars. 9:30PM - 10PM Ninja WarriorEpisode: Sasuke 21 Part 4 Stage 2. 10PM - 10:30PM Ninja WarriorEpisode: Sasuke 21 Part 5 Final stages. 10:30PM - 11PM American Ninja Wrap-Up 3Competitors of "Ninja Warrior" talk about their experiences. Looks like the AOTS show will for sure be the more Kevin & Olivia-centric stuff while leaving a full-hour still devoted to the ANC 3 winners. Kevin Pereira's run will appear (settling the months-old question) and it looks like Stage 2 and the "final stages" will each get their own episodes. Congrats to Venus HeadTrap who nailed the 5-part episode breakdown!

Thanks Jhonsun! Okay so the Attack of the show crap won't be repeated during the Ninja Warrior slots in the future? or they plan to reair that when they do the reruns?

I don't imagine they'll air the AOTS special once they put it into rotation, but they'll probably rerun it each time they rerun all of Ninjafest 3 like they usually do for a week afterward. Basically, same thing they do with the preview/wrap-up stuff.

Thanks Jhonsun! Okay so the Attack of the show crap won't be repeated during the Ninja Warrior slots in the future? or they plan to reair that when they do the reruns? Just the other day I saw an AOTS cable listing on G4. It was their special Jamaican episode from earlier this year. That gives me the impression that they will dust off and re-air the AOTS Japan episode too from time-to-time but my guess is that it will not be a part of future Ninja Warrior 21 broadcasts. [ edit: except, as flamingwuzzle mentioned, for the immediate subsequent re-airings of NinjaFest 3] I don't think that they usually re-air past American Ninja Challenge specials ahead of their respective tournaments either. I guess it's a double-edged sword, but I'm glad that the AOTS footprint on future Ninja Warrior 21 airings will be minimal.
