Why didn't they subtitle that? What was the purpose of these videos?
Although, it was cool seeing Levi and the other American's say "Sasuke, here we come"
Well the ones with the original TBS set up were gimmies that were in Facebook for a bit and then transferred to the Ninja Warrior website. Beats me. I am happy however they bothered showing the original with the original music.
I did however like the Alison preview of 23. I do however have one complaint but it's a minor one. There are not "athletes". This is the reason why I watch this show.. None of the All-Stars are Athletes.. they are regular blue collar workers who are in shape. In fact I would venture to say that more than half of the entire 100 in Sasuke aren't even athletes at all..
Well she did call them elite athletes.. by definition she's wrong Like I said.. minor gripe I only pick it out because for me the whole lure of this show is that they are normal blue collar workers. "ordinary people doing extraordinary things".
Yeah, I forget when that was from anyways, what was that? XD
The meeting? Just an opportunity between demonstrations during the Maguro Festival back in 2009 that TBS had to interview the All-Stars and mock them about their failure The festival runs for 2 days and they had 5 of the 6 All-stars so it was actually great timing.
I was hoping the exact same thing.. just keep the damn music in a broadcast for once XD
Wouldn't that be expensive, especially for a cost-conciousness entity like G4?
JET aired Sasuke as is, with just subtitles. TBS has already licensed the music for their broadcasting, G4 licensing the TBS broadcast I would assume the music license carries with it, they just edit it out for some reason. The online videos (specifically the Sasuke 23 pre-stage 1 announcer hype) has the original footage. Wouldn't be hard, G4 just doing something weird in not keeping the music. Then again I could be horribly wrong with what I just said.
If someone is going to be an idiot.. I have the right to call them out for what they are. Lord knows everyone does it to me when I do it.
I don't care about the music, I only care about the interviews ect. Its interesting to see what they say, and Ninja Warrior is good for that.
Well keep in mind though that, IIRC, they tend to sometimes not translate things 100% correct for both interviews and narration. I can't recall a specific example right off the bat, but I'm pretty sure they've already misinterpreted the translations at times. I'm not saying that they're complete liars, but they could be a little better. Of course, that's just an opinion...
I also love how they didn't even try censoring Yuuji out lol. (You can see in the bottom left one of the banners for Yuuji's kanzenseiha banners fly up before the video ends, I got a chuckle out of that)
