Simple question: how much money do you think will be given to the winner(s) of this new Sasuke era?

Indeed. It was still 2 million; some sources reported 4, but I really don't know where they got that from.

yeah, I think it still was 2 millls because of that law about gameshows prizes. And yeah I think they'll add again a car or something.

That's a luxury car that's supposed to compete with the other competitors like Lexxus: Nissan wanted to create a fresh approach started by the Cedric/Gloria and focus its efforts to compete with European executive mid-sized sports sedans, such as the BMW 5 series, Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Jaguar S-Type. The Fuga's primary competitor from Toyota is the Toyota Crown Athlete Series, But also competes with the Lexus GS. The Fuga is one level below the Nissan Cima, which is a little larger. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_FugaSo.. around 40k US?

Question, do some of the participants receive appearance money? I think folks like PAT or the Hamm brothers are being paid by Monster 9 and Sasuke is one of the shows they appear on to fulfill their obligations, but how about the All-Stars?

No they do not get appearance fees. They get their trips paid (like airfare, accommodations) etc. in lieu of being able to use their likeness in advertisements and marketing. I know for a fact the All-Stars do not get paid additional for appearing on Sasuke. They do get some compensation for other events like Muscle Park appearances, etc. but it's not like how it is in the USA. It's peanuts compared to us here.

If this was a US gameshow, the prize would easily be $1,000,000.
Sasuke will probably up the prize to about $50,000.

Really? Why is that?

Well I might be wrong, but I thought I heard that somewhere. Because on their version of who wants to be a millionaire, the winners got a lot less than 1 million usd.
I don't remember where I read it, but I've heard it more than once.

I think there is a law that the max money a person can win on a gameshow in Japan in 2 million yen.

If the limit is 2 Million yen, they can get around it by including the car, and other prizes to sweeten the pot, maybe a lumber manufacture can provide plywood to all the home courses these guys put together. That would save them a ton of yen.

Maybe the money and a bunch of vouchers? Vouchers for what? If someone wins you're getting a lifetime invite to Sasuke, hell for passing Stage 1 you get an auto-invite.

Maybe the money and a bunch of vouchers? Vouchers for what? Okomeken? Wouldn't be the first game show to do it, too.

From wiki: "Quiz $ Millionaire (ƒNƒCƒY$ƒ~ƒŠƒIƒlƒA, Kuizu $ Mirionea?), also referred to as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in the show's logo, is a Japanese game show based on the original British format of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The show is hosted by television personality Monta Mino.
The main goal of the game is to win 10 million yen by answering 15 multiple-choice questions correctly."
"Super Millionaire Super Millionaire was a spinoff of Quiz $ Millionaire. There were 2 episodes. The grand prize was 20 million yen in episode 1 and 10 million in episode 2."
So it's wiki so it's not always correct, but I'd find it hard to believe they got it that far off. So it appears there is no such law, and that TBS is just cheap!
