SASUKE 5-17 was more of a sprint and only had 6-8 obstacles while in Shin-SASUKE, the first stage was more of a jog where endurance was more of a factor. What type of first stage do you think they use or which type would you like to see.
Personally, I would like to see a First Stage similar to ones of old, where you have about 80-90 seconds to clear the stage and the obstacles are short (not easy, just short). However, I think they will keep the whole 8 obstacles, in 2 minutes course.

I vote replace the Warped Wall with running up a down escalator.

With Kunoichi looking less likely to reappear, I'd say that some obstacles of obvious Kunoichi inspiration would be reasonable.
Depending on how new they want to make it, I'm speculating more of a separation of Speed, Balance, and Strength between Stages 1, 2, and 3 (perhaps respectively).

I vote replace the Warped Wall with running up a down escalator. American Gladiators? Seriously. We should just have The Eliminator be the new First Stage. I don't know about anybody else, but I really want to see the Dancing Stones as the new first obstacle. It would still eliminate the joke competitors, and I really think it could trip up some rather strong contestants who don't take it seriously. I also think they should keep the Jumping Spider, but make it 19's Jumping Spider. And I liked the idea someone had of making the Soritatsu Kabe thinner, so that there is actually a chance that you could fall off the sides.

I agree with this, it's been like this more in a implied aspect, it would be cool to see a strict commitment to one aspect per stage idea.

I think that there should be a mixture of the spinning Log and Log Grip(spinning log with the log grip drops). And I liked Supersheep's idea of two trampolines, and I like the 19 JS idea. So, The Black Widow with 19's JS.

I think we need a "big" first obstacle, something a la the Rope Glider. Then a log, then Dancing Stones, then 19 JS.

Maybe replace the warped wall with a STRAIGHT wall.

I have a rather ridiculous idea, that involves keeping the Balance Tank but putting something like grease on it. >=) heh heh.....

The thin wall idea was mine Well, actually, I got the idea from Kunoichi's pathetic Conviction Hill. If it was as tall as the current Warped Wall, if would have to be around twice as wide as Conv. Hill.

I liked the idea of having the Warped Wall curve outward, so that if you miss it the first time you fail. I can't remember who said that first. However, I have thought of similar ideas. I also hope they don't keep the Jumping Spider. IMO, it's gotten kind of boring. Plus, if they really want a "Perfect Renewal", they should think of a new trampoline obstacle. I actually thought of a trampoline obstacle which is basically like a trampoline into the second part of the Spider Flip, except the part you jump into is curved backward a bit so you have to use alot of grip strength to hold onto it at first before wrapping your legs around the ledges to help you. So you'd be jumping into something looking like this: \_ It would be more of an angle than that though, so it's actually possible haha. Also, it would lead to some awesome wipeouts . I liked the first stage that they had in the "Shin-Sasuke" era, and I also liked the first stage they had in the "5-17" era. So hopefully they can come up with some obstacles that take certain technique like the Slider Jump, and some obstacles that take pure skill like the Jump Hang.

What about they do a jackie chan style wall jump.
Bad sketch below.
Top of wall ________________ |.......................| |.......................| |.....................>| |.......................| | <....................| |.......................| |......._O_.........>| |.........|.............| |.........|.............| |.........|.............|
Of course its not actual length, but it sounds good. Well in theory atleast. I wonder how it would actually work out.

The Shin Sasuke obstacles had a lot of built in meandering, so that it seemed that much of the run was jogging from place to place. An obstacle I just thought of: Imagine the Butterfly Wall, but turned 90 degrees so that the axis is horizontal. A competitor has to jump and hit the top half of the wall with their feet to momentarily get a base that they can use to jump to the other side.

If I understood what you mean, I'm afraid they already did that sasukepedia.wikia.com/wiki/Balance_Bridgesasukepedia.wikia.com/wiki/Yureru_Hashi

You have to jump into it to get it flat and propel yourself past it.

oh. I see. Sorry then. And yeah, I agree about your opinion of Sasuke 5-17 First Stage. They should make it similar to that layout, IMO.

I also agree with the idea that the First Stage should return somewhat to its 5-17 form. The 1st stage in 18-24 was a little bit too long to be entirely enjoyable to watch (I found myself wanting them to skip past a few obstacles)...especially with so many people shown in the last broadcast. One of my reasons I found the 5-17 era better, but that's another discussion.
